Im a sword spec rouge, I run instances to get most of my gear and i was wondering if anyone knows of good one handed swords(Lvl 30-40)I can get from going through instances.I was on last night and the butcher dropped(SCORE)and i might use that if i dont make as much i i thought i would in AH.
Any information on this would be awesome, thank you

Thrash Blade from Mara is a nice mainhand, and will last you almost until you hit the Outlands. There's also a nice sword from Sunken Temple I believe, but I can't remember the name for the life of me.

Blade of the Wretched. The Shadow damage is nice, but not if you do a lot of Gouge and other incapacitates. Of course, as a combat rogue, you probably don't.
There's also the tiny chance of Eranikus dropping Dragon's Call, which has an above-average DPS, but the proc rate is supposedly crap.
The Sword of Serenity from the SM quest lasted my main (a paladin) about ten levels, so it's definitely worth looking at. There's that other sword you get for doing Razorfen Downs, which unlike the Sword of Serenity is available for both factions. And then there's this, which is an apparently random drop you can pick up at the AH.
My girlfriend tried to do makeup with a sword....

ah anyway. Trash blade is quite good. I suggest getting an addon called "atlas loot"
it allows you to check instances for possible drops from creatures and bosses.
While exceptions do exist, Ah < instance drops.
but if you wnat to find the weps to get you into the instances then you go to the AH

Better than atlas loot is the website http://wow-loot.com/, which will filter instance and even quest drops by your class to show you things that might be of interest specifically to your cause. Atlas loot breaks down by dungeon and then by boss, but shows you everything of note on the loot table, so it's a little messier for individual class information.
