I am (level 66) filling out a 0 / 20 / 41 build. I like the idea of imp. kick, but most people don't bother with it. I was thinking of taking it, I feel like combat/step is a big anti-caster build, and imp kick might be a nice addition. Of course that only leaves me with 3/5 in DW spec.

This is the build http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fZhdVbrcZxMe0MGRoxst
(I like endurance over maxed SnD because I will be stuck in the BG's grinding honor for a long time, and I dont find it hard keeping SnD up).

What say the guru's?

The step rogues want you back Shao.

I still havnt respecced to ShS yet, but I would say imp kick if you are having trouble with casters. If not then Id say go for DW spec. Thats what it comes down to IMO.

Hope this helps :)

DW spec. Imp. Kick is really only useful if you're bad at interrupting. Most classes will only have one school they really need. Burn Gouge on the schools that matter least, and kick things like shadow on a lock, frost on a mage, etc. Imp. Kick basically just gives you a little time to get your energy back for a Gouge or KS when you miss a kick. Extended silence chains aren't really viable, though I've always wanted to do Sap -> Garrote -> Kick -> Arcane Torrent -> Gouge -> Vanish -> Garrote (have to be spot on timing here, Garrote will tick Gouge off as soon as the GCD is off) -> Kick -> Gouge. Complete lockdown for about 15 seconds without a single stun. Once they ice block, blind and do it again without the Vanish. Would be insanely hard to pull off, and I'm not sure if you can block through Silence which would bork the whole thing.

This is more just for sub in general. Have you thought of using setup and ghostly strike with prep? Its got to be mad cp generation.
