Now before all get too distracted talking about the naked characters, let's get back to naked facts displayed by Jooj: base health of a naked priest being around 3.8k. If I recall correct each sta point adds 10 HP. At level 69 the fortitude gives 54sta (540 health), geeting to 4.3k. So having 4.5k health means his equipment must totally lack any meaningful amount of sta.

Even when the 4.5k being unbuffed his gear must have total lack of base sta or he did simply not even take a little effort to up his health a little above the one hit = death level.

Sure Sta is not a real relevant factor for a priest and you may not want to enchant even decent levelling greens (most likely of the prophet/physisian gear), but come on: knothide armor kits really cost next to nothing, can be slapped on 4 items for an extra 32 sta. And with the new heavy armor kits (+10 sta) they can even be put on head items, making it (if i am correct from memeory) +50 sta easy improvement. One heavy knothide armor kits = 4 heavy knothide only....

Sure on some items you might prefer glyphs and other enchants, but you are most likely not going to add those till you have decent 70 gear items. Till then the sta kits can keep you alive in those "oops, too slow or damn lag moments".

This being said, I totally concur with the conclusion that even 4.5k health should be enough if he moves out of the fire fast enough and Vorpil is being tank slow kited away from the adds with the adds being lured away from the platform there should be no issue of spike / burst damage killing the priest.

Wow, that's good stuff right there!

We've run through a bunch of things and picked him up 4-5 new pieces that were upgrades (some armor, I think he got a weapon drop too). We even told him to take the Oblivion piece that dropped even though he had just upgraded something for the same slot. Just to hang onto for certain situations. Nothing says stam like a warlock piece :-)

We'll see what happens next time we run SL. He's up to ~5600 health unbuffed which buys him better than one more tick of rain of fire - should be enough time.

Thanks again to all for the great info!

Well, since he is up to 5600 health unbuffed, it ma not be a problem. Maybe have him try to at least keep a renew on himself. Or, if all else fails, have him drink some fire protection pots....

You could also use Fire Resistance aura, if you fell you're ok without Ret.

here's how i play it:

as soon as i see the light surround me (the animation for the beginning of the teleport) ... and i think he yells something too... i move my mouse into position to spin around & run north out of that rain of fire. then i cast prayer of healing.

it doesn't matter where the groups health bars are at. it's a standard response to the teleportation. it works like a charm & my groups are always dps heavy enough to kill him before the 2nd port.

and, yes, even at level 69, 4500 health is low.
be sure to use priest buff shadow resist & pally fire resist aura

We had been doing the priest shadow resist/fire aura thing to no avail the first time.

However, he's made it through! The extra health helped and he's moved on. Thanks all!

use intervean right away and may sure he prayer of mending and shields is all i can say. At level 70 right now with my crafted gear i am very low on stam. I die on some pretty stupid **** in SSC and TK. Its not uncomon for holy priest to have very low stam until they start replaceing there crafted gear with some T5 pieces.
