what is the best armour for an approx lvl 30 to aim for that will last a while i thought of the blackened defias set but i out did that at 24
please help with suggestions

You'll outlevel most armor until you hit 70. If you still want the best armor, go to wowhead and LOOK IT UP YOUR OWN DAMN SELF.
'of the monkey' and 'of the falcon' will do.

I'm pretty sure you can make you're way through levels 1-55 naked and do fine...
to any that wonder what armour they should have at low levels or should i say below 70
my reply is do not worry about it and use whatever drops that can boost your stats
agility / stamina / intellect for manna all help even at low level , i have a 33 hunter that i decided not to buy stuff for and so apart from the gun i made myself with engineering/mining as my trades i have armour that is well under par for my level ranging from level 16 upwards and yet i can easily kill same level mobs , yes i can see i could do with better armour but i know as soon as i hit outland i will find all the armour i got before then will be changed within the first 5 or so quests there along with the drops you will get
it is fully possible to get to high level even to 70 with no armour as has been done by a certain horde character , he even got a large naked group together and they stormed through stormwind meeting little resistance so anything is possible

Hell, we're hunters, we could probably get to 70 naked and only using a gray ranged weapon. Because naked killing is what we, or maybe just I, do best. :)
