Day after Xmas...I should sooo be home playing WoW right now and not at work...

Personal: Live in Massachusetts, 27 years of age bunking up with my wife (also a WoW player) and my wee 16 month old baby girl (future WoW girl in training).
Work: I'm an Acoustical Engineering Project Manager and Sales Estimator. I can't explain it, most people say "Huh?"...so imagine this. You go to a movie theater and don't notice the acoustical panels lining the walls that keeps the sound relatively confined to the room you're in. I work with stuff like that.
Gaming: WoW player since a few months after release, former FFXI player, former Earth & Beyond player, former EQ player. Occasionally I dabble with console games, but mostly for my occasional sport spurts where I get addicted to Madden for a week or two. Otherwise, PC's the console of choice for me and MMO's are my crack (and WoW's my crack-daddy).
Other Interests: I author a few AddOns for WoW, and I'm kinda a source junkie on the side. I do a lot of website coding as well as WoW AddOns, and have a Gaming CMS/Forum system I've been working on forever and will never complete.

I will now spend the next hour trying to find some lame excuse to go home and enjoy the rest of my day after Xmas :P

Great topic, Jeebar. I love finding out what the person behind the toon is really like.

Hi, my name is Phil, and I actually do belong to a group where we introduce ourselves like that. I live in Wisconsin with my wife of 21 years and two fantastic daughters. I'm 52, and one of the oldest WoW-heads I know of (other than William Shatner).

I've been a farmer, an engineer, an aspiring rock star, and a derelict, not necessarily in that order. I'm currently a Laboratory Manager for one section of a forestry research lab.

I've been a gamer since the late 70's when I started pumping quarters into Space Invaders at my favorite bar. I bought WoW for my daughters, started playing it myself, and... well, you know how that story goes.

Other interests include motorcycling, woodworking, and guitars. Still haven't quite given up on that rock star thing, although these days I lean more towards the Blues.

My name is Tim, I'm 28 years old, and I play Durid.

I live in Annapolis, the capital of Maryland and work in Washington, DC as a contractor for the US navy. I have a wife and two little ones, 3 and 6.

At work I write software. When I started college I has the idea that I could make video games but it's a very demanding industry and I like having free time to play games and hang out with my kids. I've been playing games my whole life, and the first computer my Dad ever brought home was the first to ever have a built in hard disk. Zork was the shiz back then.

I played all sorts of different consoles and always had a decent pc. Mostly I liked rpgs and have always been a fan of the final fantasy series. I played EQ1 with my sister-in-law's boyfriend for a little over a year, picked up FFXI when that came out, and have been playing little besides wow since it came out.

My other interests are mostly computer related but I also really enjoy sitting and talking to people about life and all the good and bad that goes with it. I was making my own wow mods for a while but there are so many great coders out there with a lot more free time than I have.

My whole life lately has been work, spending time with family, friends when my wife lets me out, and since I recently accepted an officer position in my guild WoW. Mostly those first two.

Well... Looks like I'm going to be the youngest here...

Personal: I'm most commonly known by the name Blashca, I'm 15 and I live in Victoria, Australia, I'm a male, I usualy act quite mature for my age, but I tend to just be an ideot most of the time(on purpose tho...). I am a unique person.

Work: Currently nothing... Altho I am aiming to get into the videogame design industry, I'm also looking to become a professional gamer.

Gaming: Well... This could go for ages with me... But I'll just keep it short, first game console was the Sega Megadrive, from there I went to Nintendo 64, Gameboy color and PC, was interested in Nintendo games so I stuck with them for the Gamecube, Gameboy advanced and the Wii, recently I'v gotten a Ps2, an Xbox 360 and a Nintendo DS.
About two years ago a friend told me about runescape and that was my first encounter with MMORPG's, I played that for about three months then decided to become a member... Nine months later I bought World of warcraft, I'v kind of lost interest in it lately for other online games... Not other MMO's but games like Halo, I'v realy enjoyed the competitive gameplay in that... Hence why I'v now got a 360... Strangely enough... My internet was playing up recently so I couldn't realy use the internet... When it was back up and running, I go on Halo again and find that I'v improved by quite a large ammount since I was last on...

Other interests: Comedy, I love a good laugh. I also hope to be creating some high standard Machinima in the near future.

Regular poster in training? Smiley: dubious

Or regular lurker? Smiley: sly

Regular poster who really only posts from work, and the off time of when I'm reading forums while waiting for a BG to pop or something like that. I haven't been around too long, so I think 76 posts with this one isn't that bad. It's pale in comparison to over 18k, but one day, with a little encouragement and maybe some luck, I'll get there too :)

Here goes, I'm pretty new on this site, but have been a lurker for the past year or so.

Personal: My name is Mark, I'm 30, married with 2 kids (6 and 7) in the suburbs of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Work: I'm accountant/AP/AR for a small ink company

Interests: Mainly computer/video games, ever since I was a kid playing pong on the Odyssey, upgraded to Coleco Vision, then Nintendo. WoW was shown to me by a friend and it's really the only online game I play. Left for a few months this summer, came back since it's too cold to go outside. I also coach soccer for my kids team(s) in the fall.

Not a norm around these parts, I'm around the Pally forum mostly as that is where my expertise are at, but I come by here and there.

I suppose I should probably post too since I'm fairly common to the druid forums. Avoided it at first cause of the holiday thing (For the record I hate Xmas, but that's mostly seasonal affective disorder more then anything.)

Hi, My name is James

*Hi James*

Personal: I'm 24 living in Calgary, Alberta. No kids or significant other~

Work: Going to school working on a physics degree and working part time in the electronics dept. of the local wally's world. It's nice since I can get all the hard to find stuff easy so people pay me a premium to hook them up.

Gaming: Got my first console in 1990 or 91 I think, NES. I grew up goming on consoles and didn't really get into computer gaming until Warcraft II. I started playing MMOs through betas and jumped from beta to beta until I started playing FFXI soon after the NA release. Quit that a little after RotZ expantion and a couple months later a friend started playing WoW and got me hooked. I'll always be a gamer and MMO's are my cheap fix, otherwise I'd be spending $200/month on new games to keep me going~

Other Interests: International economics and politics are kind of my hobby atm. I use to also play chess competitively and while I'm not as good of a player as I use to be I still enjoy it. I'm also really into trance music :D

Last thing people would expect: I use to help run a grow-op for the Hell's Angels :O Learned a thing or two about organised crime and I got all the pot I wanted for free :D

I mainly read here but always post when I cant find what I am looking for. Thought I would join the ranks here.

Personal: My name is Cameron and I am 26 and live in Victoria, BC Canada. Victoria is the Capital city of British Columbia and we are located on Vancouver Island which is West off of Vancouver's coast. When I tell people I live on an island they usually get the "So do you have electricity" look on their face until I tell them that Vancouver Island is as big as England with 1/100 of the population. Basically 60,776,238 compared to 734,860 people.... I am not married but am lucky enough to have the most beautiful Egyptian woman who frequents my company and takes away most of my WOW time, which is fine for me.

Work: Now a days I am a part time Thesbian (dancer, singer, actor, technician)but over the past years I have only been taking contracts in the summers only. For the past 3 years I have co-written and co-choreographed shows with a small performance company known as GGG or "Gotta Get a Gimmick Productions" for stage at the renowned Butchart Gardens here in Victoria which I think is the 4 or 5th best garden in the world. I currently work for a Vacation rental company Platinum vacation Group and I stick around cause my schedule can be very flexible and the money is pretty good if I work at it. www.pvg.ca is one of our 4 websites and the easiest to write down.

Gaming: My first console I remember was Atari and I played a boatload of Caveman Games. I have proceeded through the ranks from Sega Master System, Genesis, Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast (which I had about 200 burned games for)Playstation one and two and both X-box and X-box 360 which I play way too much Halo 3 on and have only had live for 2 weeks. Duedain is my name their too if anyone wants to try and best me ;) always played RPG's and my Fav all time was and likely still would be Final Fantasy 7. It was epic! I am big time in to "list collecting" games where you are constantly upgrading and excelling your character. I love WOW because it seemingly will go on forever, unless I stop paying ;)

Other Interests: Well I have been dancing and singing since I was 6 (20 years, ee-gad)and although I havent performed professionally for 3 years (used to be a dancer for Disney Cruise lines) I still look forward to working for a professional theatre company full time. I take tons of photos and I frequently delve in to water sports such as Kayaking and tubing when it is warm. Most of the property photos on our website are mine and although I prefer nature shots it keeps me busy... On a final note I am currently in a long term apprenticeship to become a Falconer. Saying this most people would say "you should have been a hunter" but from Baldurs Gate and for the rest of my life I will always be a druid. I like to hug trees!

Thanks for reading and Happy Hunting

Well, I'm one of those annoying urchin-type lowbie kiddies who pop over here on another computer to look things up and make decisions when I don't want to look stupid by asking people. But I'm a sucker for randomly flinging information on the internet, must be because I'm one of Those Damn Myspace Kids.

Personal: I live in central NJ with my mommy and my daddy and my brother and my other brother and two kitties and a puppy. I'm 14. I spend most of my time trying not to do any of the obnoxious things kids my age tend to do.
Work: Well if you call milling around like a good little sheep in a middle school and remembering what not to say and what not to write "work," then...
Gaming: You know how everyone complains about the slow pace of WoW? That pace is the reason it's the only game of any description that I play, everything else is too fast to follow.
Other Interests: Trolling (but not being a troll) around the Internets, poking around the music universe, setting things on fire, reading things beyond my maturity level, conspiring with a friend of mine to take over the world and then destroy all government and replace it with anarchy...
