Hi all I was wondering if the experienced PvP priests could share their opinion.
On the discipline talents a shadow priest should take for PvP.

I was thinking about this 17/0/44 build

The questions are:

1. Improved PW: F is it viable in PvP (considering that hunter, priest, warlock, mage, shaman) can dispell it?

2. Improved PW: S the same question basically..

The most important question:
3. Silent resolve in PvP... can you feel that the spells are "harder to dispell from you?" ie is it worth to spend the points in it?

The basic idea is.. why to spend the points into the improved versions of the talents when the 1st shaman purges them in 5 seconds. Maybe it is better to skip them and invest into 20% dispell reisistance.. you dont have the imp PW: F but altleast it stays on! :D

To this build, i always say: Get 3/3 Inner Fire. I´m standing in focus nearly evertime (no matter if shadow or holy) and it really helps reducing dmg.

For the dispell stuff, first of all there isn´t always a shaman around. And even when (i play 3v3 mostly) you have two possibilites.

1.) Shaman is a healer so gets in focus and has no time to purge.

2.) He is not a a healer, but when he just purges around, the team looses 50% of their focus dmg which is quite bad as well.

Same goes for us priests as well. I hardly have the time to dispell. When i´m in focus i try to survive and when an other teammate is focused i need to spam heal him.

Anyway, i dont see people purge/dispell that often.

Do NOT get Improved Inner Fire for PVP. It is absolutely not worth it.

Your build has the Discipline essentials: Unbreakable Will, Martyrdom, Inner Focus, Meditation and Improved Mana Burn.

However, I do recommend moving the four points you put in the improved power words into Silent Resolve. It will greatly slow down the enemy as they try to dispel your buffs and DoTs, your fears and silences and vampiric embrace.

I would also recommend moving a few points from Shadow Power into Shadow Weaving. Fast-stacking Shadow Weaving not only increases your DPS, it slows down dispellers even more. Since Shadow Priest DPS doesn't revolve around crits, you won't be giving up much.

So after doing some PvP with this specc This was only BG PvP no arenas. I can say I get dispeled once in a year.. so I dont recomend taking the silent resolve for PvP purposes.. go with the improved versions of the talents instead go with this build

I hope this saved some gold for ya!
