so i know it says pipa priest this is my wifes comp but anyway my main is a rogue, and gear wise mines ok i have both gladiator maces bonecracker and pummler the seargeants clock and i have the bracer. edgewalker boots grips of deftness so like i said its ok. I was combat swords from day 1 and did ALL pve stuff, well i just couldnt dedicate time to raid kara anymore and the guild fell apart anyways so i took a break.

Now i do all pvp BG's cuz i havent gotten on any arena teams yet. So i read the forums and hear all this talk about ar/prep and read about hemo and shs.. ive tried both and heres the thing i want to go into combat to get the mace stun proc pretty much why i got them, my problem is i like shs better i just wish i could get ShS and the mace proc because i feel like i wasted the honor on the maces.

Ar/Prep i guess is better for arena and some pve i guess basically im just ranting .. anybody else had this dilema ...

19/42/0 will solve all of your problems, it just doesn't have the same mobility as AR/Prep or ShS.

This is one of the biggest complaints that I have about the rogue class. Instead of having really great talent specs for specific situations (like, say, a paladin, shaman, druid, warrior, or mage), we have a handful of "meh" talent specs that try to cover everything. The rogue talent trees are jumbled and twisted in such a way that the only really "set" spec is Mutilate, and with resilience, positioning requirements, poison immunities, and other concerns, it's a fairly gimped spec to begin with unless you're still grinding to 70.

What i liked about ShS was i could kinda sit back stealthed and watch what was goin on and then pick my target and have options i kinda liked, premed>step>cs>5 pt evsis on half dead casters.

Going back to the whole spam hemo or SS then (insert w/e finisher you want) makes me sad inside.. my alternative is to lose the mace proc and go shadow.

I guess it is what is atm.. i should have thought it through more before i chose maces, but all the "maces pwn in pvp" and since thats what my plans are to do for the duration at least until i get some gladiators gear, that's what i picked.

Well, you can be ShS and still be maces. In fact that is encouraged to use maces or swords. So if you like ShS, maces aren't going to hold you back.

Yeah, I find that I can't live without 5 talents:

Mace Spec, Prep, DW Spec, Precision, and Relentless Strikes.

Hence my current build: 11/26/24.

So far I'm doing pretty well with it in PvP. Don't know how no AR is gonna effect arena, though.

Gonna be... lacking at best.

But may as well get used to it now.

It's basically ShS with no ShS and with all the combat talents.

I fail to see how that's "lacking". Smiley: tongue

Deep combat, Mut, and AR/Prep all have on demand DPS increases or spikes.

These things are what lead to killing typically.

My partner is a feral druid.

He has on-demand spike damage. It's called cat form. Smiley: grin

Link me his spec (if I connect to armory my work computer goes *********

It seems like a curious combo to play but is the Druid is any good there are a few things you could do to make that a crazy *** combo.

You would need a more traditional spec though. AR or Mut type thing.

his spec

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fbe0oZhfV0bVtZxMe0MhRo

my spec

He's a PvE druid btw, so he's not going to change his spec for arena. If he was, he'd just go resto and I'd go combat and we'd ezmode to 2k.

Yea. I saw some fun possibilities of a Feral Druid going in to get Nature's Swiftness, to setup a Blind>instant Cyclone> cyclone while you pop AR. He could dps between cyclone's.

I imagine head's rolling.

I thought about that and included it merely as a way to force a trinket if they haven't already.

If they have trinketed, don't even worry about Blind and triple cyclone.

If anything use your blind way early on to force a trinket.

But a triple Cyclone when an opponent is at 40-50% as you hit AR and if he dps's is going to be a sure kill.
