entertain MyTeddy, volume 1.

Tell your funniest ganking story.

Mine: Darkshire, full sub spec. I was killing lowbies with a 70 lock hunting for me. It was exciting cat and mouse, can I get the lowbie before the lock finds/pwns me. Even managed to sap the lock one time.

Some lowbie human got himself standing on top of the fountain post in the middle of Darkshire, "looking out" for me I guess. It must've been a b*tch to get up there. I Shadowstepped up to him and killed him. Then rather than run and hide, I decided /dance on his corpse on top of the post for all lowbies to see was worth getting killed by the lock. The Darkshire guards went apesh#t but couldnt touch me due to lack of ranged weapons.

So the picture is BE dancing on a lowbie corpse, top of the post in the middle of Darkshire, lowbies and guards all around going apesh#t but cant do anything about it. All thanks to Shadowstep.

I picture all the guards and their chat bubbles, "RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE", all air humping the post trying to get at you.

Yesterday, I followed a Paladin through Wetlands. From one end to the other. I would stealth and creep, show myself, start toward him and he would scamper. So I would fall back and wait wait, let him kill a mob, then show myself in the distance he would scamper.

Then I killed him about 50 feet from Menethil. That's a long *** GY run.

I was running around Hillsbrad, questing as usual, and as I was clearing gnolls to steal their mushrooms (and get high, dude!), a gnome warrior came running through the field. I was engaged with a mob, so I switched to him as he ran past, hamstring'd, switched back and killed the mob, then started in on the gnome. He tried to hamstring me back and run away, but he wasn't looking where he was going, and he ran right into a big pack of respawns. He tried to hamstring all of the mobs too, but obviously failed, so I got him down to about 10%, then ran off leaving the gnolls to finish him off.

PvP + repair bills = win

...wow, it's true. All Rogues really are also gankers.

Is that like a class requirement or something?

All rogues are gankers in the same way that all mailmen are unstable psychopaths; it's not required, but it certainly seems to help.

Ah. You're a Rogue and a mailman, I see.

Do many people ambush you, or do your 1337 g4nk sk1llz make sure you ambush them and give them a papercut they'll remember for the rest of ten minutes?

I play Druid now so it's more of an Ambush, make them bleed, and then stop attacking as they bleed to death.

Rubs in the hurt a tad more.

Stealth into Stormwind/IF and gank people as they come out of BGs.

That's what I do. Smiley: grin

I miss playing my rogue.

See a RL friend of mine talked me into going back to a PVE server where I had a upper 30's (now mid 40's) Shaman. So I did. And neglected my rogue so much he doesn't show in armory anymore!

I will recitify that this evening. Level 50 here I come! :D

Some Tauren Druid was running around STV. I was on my Warrior, trying to get him, I think he was 1 level below me, but anyway, he ran off like a coward so I went back to questing. I got to Nesingwary's (or something like that) Camp to do some stuff, THEN he came and attacked me. Being the nubby Warrior I am, I died.

So yeah, I got pissed, then brought in my 65 Rogue whom I was trying to give some double exp. I got him quickly to Nesingwary's Camp and the Druid was still there. I camped and killed him like, 10 times it's not even funny. Then later, he brought in some 45 Troll Hunter and a 53 Undead Warrior. I kill them too easily too :)

So in the end, the Warrior res'd and ran away. The Hunter res'd and tried to run away but I killed him 3 more times, and I killed the Druid a couple more times :)

But that wasn't the end.

I go back on my Warrior, and called a friend over to help me. Next thing I know, some level 33 Troll Hunter comes and attacks me. I manage to kill him 2-3 times. I tell my friend to use Shadowmeld and for the fun of it, I go back on my Rogue and kill him a lot more times again :)

I find it a lot more fun to kill the backup rather than the caller.

I had a rogue try and gank me while I was waiting for AV.

He beat on me until he got me to 50% health and then he vanished.

Guess he didn't realize I have 300+ resilience, though he probably should have realized something was wrong when his ambush crit me for 1k.

Does it count when after TBC came out there are 2 BE pallies dueling and one drinking and I kill the two right after their duel finishes?

We were all mid 60s and I was mutilate at the time. There was much laying on off hands and bubbles from the one not dueling so I only got to kill the two who were low after the duel. I couldn't quite take the third one so I had to bounce out of there, but it sure was fun.

I have a few of these stories... This is long so I apologise in advance. Keep in mind I'm on a PvE realm too..

Most recently (as in yesterday) I was bored and killed the Horde Flight master at Tarren Mill in order to attract some attention. After a while some lowbie who I let spot me calls in a lvl 70 lock. By this point I'm rather bored though so I mount up and run off. About 20 seconds out of southshore I'm chatting to guild members and the lock turns up and starts dotting me up. Having done nothing to him I am rather annoyed by this so I CoS, hit sprint and decide to beat his ***. I figure if he is so intent on chasing me when I have obviously gotten bored I should punish him a little.

*Warlord* pops up and I suddenly feel a bit more impressed with this victory. So I decide to gank him a second time.

I let him go the third time and follow him into tarren mill. I then kill him as he is talking to the inkeeper.

He resurrects, gets his felhound out and starts running around trying to find me. So I hit sprint, Cheapshot him and start to beat him up. Instead of fighting me back he decides it is enough to DoT me up and make me follow him into the centre of tarren mill. At this point I hit evasion and AR as my screen is literally filled with the nameplates of *tarren mill deathgaurd*... well I kill him a third time, pop CoS and vanish. About 5 mins later he rezzes with his pvp off and I then go and sit under him, whilst pvp flagged. He then proceeds to /chicken me and /spit on me. I don't quite understand the /chicken part seeing as I still have pvp up and he can't kill me three times in a row. One of them being in the centre of tarren mill.

About 2mins later a random person /w me and says "you have messed with the wrong person :)"

Apparently not only was the *warlord* warlock the GM of the largest horde side raiding guild. But the person who had called him in (that I had ganked on the grounds of - if its a pve realm and you are flagged and trying to heal someone I am killing then I can kill you too) was in the oldest and most well known and furthest progressed raiding guild on Alliance side (the kind of guild that if in pre-cross realm battlegrounds you saw a premade of their guild you would -and ppl did- literally just sit in the GY and wait to lose).

I explained that he had chased me and deliberatly attacked me whilst I hadn't provoked him or infact killed any lowbies until the lock turned up. That he had also had the rank of "Warlord" and still managed to die to me in the MIDDLE of tarren mill surrounded by gaurds whilst he had his felhound up... twice.

At this point I was accused of "hax" and that both alliance and horde guilds were *out to get me*. I informed him that I didn't give a **** if the horde guild had me on their "wanted list" and that there was no point in him complaining to his GM and their big scary alliance guild since I knew his GM personally from RL and was a good friend of his.

It was a good day.

My absolute favorite gank was before I even hit 60. I was level 56 running around in the wetlands because I was bored. Killed a few lowbies here and there. Well, one of them called in a 60 lock to protect him after I killed him something like 19 times (an exaggeration, might have only been 18). The lock was so bad that I ended up camping him instead. After about half a dozen kills or so he just spirit rezzed and ran away.

It wasn't really a gank, but...

A few weeks ago when I was still specced lolstep, I was hanging around Darkshire and waiting for an auction to cash in before I logged for the night. A group of 5-6 hordies come along, all 65 and up, and start slaughtering the pathetic level 35 guards. A few noobs flagged and tried to kill the horde (strength in numbers!) but failed miserably, and two of the horde (mage and warlock) went up on top of that building roof (The one you can epic mount jump onto the corner of the roof.) I ShS'd up, sapped one and by the time sap ran out, with massive lolstep pwnage, the other hordie had miraculously fallen over dead with a pansy only-BE-male cry. (He was probably in mostly greens and had recently dinged 70, because my first ghostly strike hit for 1450 with some crappy blue filler sword.) I quickly pwnd the other and jumped down, but the other 4 horde were able to take me out :(

I got kind of mad after that, because I was killed more than once by them. So, I decided to go beat up on a nearby horde town with a few of my friends who were in SW at the time, bored out of their skulls with 12 minute 2v2 queues. We rode out to Stonard and started sh*tting all over the low level guards. The hordies, at least one of them with their WorldDefense channel running, heard the 'Stonard is under attack!', and quickly got the group to ride over. Fortunately for me this time, I had 2 friends, and we were able to easily destroy the badly organized horde.

Vengeance is always fun.

I was questing with a friend on a PvE server, by SFK, when a Nelf rogue started who was 20 levels higher (we were 18) started killing our quest mobs. He was flagged and my friend accidentally hit him while trying to target a mob we were bashing, thus activating their PvP flag. The Nelf turned around and pwned her while I sat there and watched as I could do nothing. Then he killed her when she respawned.

That kinda pist me off so I logged on my 70 rogue.

I found that the Nelf was waiting for a group at SFK, and unflagged. I got my friend to flag up and bait the Nelf into attacking (/chicken, /lol, etc.)
I stealthed up and waited for about 5 mins for him to finally give in and start on my friend, at which point he died in about 2 secs. He never came back after that.

Made me feel alot better anyway... but my bro who was watching said I was a sad guy for some reason...

I really hate peeps who just gank for no reason, especially when they're taking quest mobs and the like, for no good reason.

It was not actually a gank but was funny. I sapped a mage for about 5 times in Smv near the Dragonmaw fortress.Guess what, that ''nice'' lvl 72 elite dual wielding Thunderfury's killed him 5 times.:)
Eventually he spirit ressed.
