Resto numbers...Follow

#1 Dec 20 2007 at 8:06 AM Rating: Decent
Ive been lookin thru the forums for what the stats should be for a resto spec. Ive read alot of intresting stuff, but still see no numbers. Plus i have teh question of healing in tree form. I know it adds 25% of spirit, and reduces cost by 20% i think, but you lose the ability for HT. Is it worth it? Im askin cause my guild just asked me to switch from feral to resto so i really have no clue.
Thanks
Bap

To start raiding Karazhan a tank should be fitted to a minimum of 12k Health, 415 Defense (with Survival of the Fittest), 20k Armor, and 25% Dodge. A healer should be stacked with at least 1000 +Healing, 6k Health, and 8500 Mana.

Here in our forum, Anathor has kindly written a shopping list for feral gear (tanking and dps) and a shopping list for healers. Make sure you grab some of this stuff while going through Outlands.

Read the sticky.

I think most raiding healers are Tree healers. Our HoT's are a major strength for us, so makeing them stronger is always good.

Having said that, the dreamstate Healing Touch druid can still do a good job, I just think the tree healers are more interesting and useful.

I spec'd resto for a couple of days this week just to try it out. I had reservations about not having HT in tree form, but believe me, you don't need it. Or shouldn't, anyway. I didn't do any instances, just some arena and bg. My healing gear only has about 550 +heal, but still the HoT in tree form were truly awesome. Orders of magnitude better than what you get in feral.

I spec'd back to feral pretty quick though. Partly because I have much better gear for it, but mostly because I just like ripping stuff up. >:-)
