I always thought I was strong enough.

Went holy. Personally I did it because I dont get to pvp as a prot. Anyway, Im getting geared with S1 honor gear right now. Im not expecting to be great at raid healing, but my guild decided to get off its butt and hit Kara. Im working on a solid Mp5 thru gems, mana oil, and enchants. Ill link Myself.

OH my question, what do you guys think? Any ideas and suggestions are welcome, Ive been prot since 20 so... Thanks.

I had my first experience healing as a pally last night with my 48 tankadin.

Got a hodgepodge ZF run going last night with myself, couple guildies, and a couple random add on's, including a 60 rogue, 45 rogue, 52 mage, and 46 lock. Being I was the only healer in the group, it was on me to play the role, even though I wasn't geared for it.

Wow, what boredom. Holy light and flash of light are on my 8 and 9 keys respectively. This is how it went.

9...9...9...9..8..9..9..9..8..9 wheeeee

There I am, the most highly armored person in the group in full plate gear..doing nothing but heals.

After killing the basilisk boss, the 60 rogue had to leave and we found a resto shammy to take his place. FINALLY! I was able to go back into full tank mode and we *spanked* the rest of the instance.

Yeah...definately not going holy.

Tankadins FTW!!

If the healing part is boring, you should run in and do some melee while you are at it. That's what I do to keep from falling asleep during the easy encounters.

Or, try healing with bandages instead of spells :)

Um, ZF is normally a lvl 40-50 instance. With two guys in your PUG beyond that range, including your tank, um, why, did they need you at all? Even the bosses are at best lvl 47 elites. Did the rogue even get hit in combat?

I think perhaps you should run some level-appropriate instances and then form opinions about how people should play their classes/specs.

Ease up there killer, like I said before it was a thrown together pickup group to grab some gear and help folks clean up quests. And yes, healing was still needed as two of the party members did end up dying on the guy who summons all the zombies, and healing was needed throughout.

We do still run "appropriate level instances", but sometimes it's fun to run through for gear/old quests for guildies in their low 40's.

And where did I make comments about people not playing their class right? The only thing I said was that I did not enjoy my experience as a healadin, and was happy to go back to tank role.

Time to switch to decaf, methinks?

Think he's actually a hydra. If we're talking about the same guy here.

Healing as a paladin is easy. Someone had that quote in their sig..."Step One: Lock one half of you keyboard to Cleanse and the other half to FoL. Step Two: Place head on keyboard and roll left to right profusely. Step Three: Profit!"

That made me laugh out loud. It's so true.

Armory has been crapping out on me for nearly the last week, I'll just come there and inspect you manually

The hydra boss is the monster you summon with the gong, the basilisk boss is the guy in the cave who summons basilisks when you fight him.

I beg to differ. Personally, PvP healing is my focus. That is rough from time to time. It would be great if I didn't have to outrun ganking rogues and counterspelling mages.

Now, instance healing is crazy easy. I hate that.

Oh...that dude at the start who drops the awesome +stam necklace? Atun...sul?

My bad, I thought "basilisk" referred to the actual boss.

I got that necklace the first time me and guildies went through ZF. It's pretty nice.

Now, the only item I still want from there is either that "protector" or "deflector" sword (the ones you can combine for the epic one), to use for a nice fast swing speed with good procs. At the moment, though, I'm smashing baddies with a beer mug (Mug O'hurt) that is nice just for the comedic factor (and it's a nice weapon as well).

You were the one who made him do it. By leaving the game, you took away his greatest role model ever. You were the balance to Dilbrt.

Look what you did. And it's gonna continue happening until you pick up that phone and resubscribe to WoW.

Why won't you think of the children?

That necklace dropped, and I was like "oooh! need." And the Warlock needed on it and won. I was so annoyed that a clothie got my +stamina.

And just today in Sunken Temple, Nightfall Drape dropped and the Warlock needed on it. And won! I didn't even get the Crest for consolation...what is with that? Do locks need stamina that bad?

It's the number 1 stat for the leveling lock, as I understand it.

Yea, Locks focus a lot more on Stamina then other caster classes because of Life Tap, Health Funnel, and a lesser extent Hellfire which all drain some health from the Lock. The necklace you mentioned is great for a Lock, but why the hell the Lock rolled on Nightfall Drape is beyond me. They should have rolled on it ONLY if a melee class didn't want it (Locks don't need Dodge ...).

When I left WoW I ensured that my First-Mate Maulgak would pick up where I left off. This mutiny by Ramera is nothing short of his failings. Fortunately, I am forgiving and he already made up for it by bringing me rum.

Your first-mate? I saw him in an alley with Dilbert, looked funny to me. Looks like he owes you more rum.

As I said in-game you're probably 70-80% there, continue to follow my guide and get those mp5 enchants. Another thing to keep in mind, go get some sporefish from zangarmarsh, the well fed buff is 20 stam and 8mp5

SS or it didn't happen :P Show me that SS, and I'll show you a pink flying elephant with purple and green polkadots, a unicorn horn, and an ear of corn growing (not sticking, GROWING) out his ***.
