What is this attack?Follow

Several months ago I ran the deadmines with a warrior who was in his upper 30's and he was using an attack that I had never seen before. I thought it was whirlwind but I was wrong. He would aggro a group of mobs and spin around taking them all out. I've tried whirlwind with my level 36 warrior dual weilding 1h axes but its not the same attack. Any one know what attack this is and how you get it?

It could have been the weapon Ravager's proc. It has a chance to make you spin in place for 9 seconds, doing weapon damage to each surrounding enemies every 3 seconds.

Ravager is a drop from Herod in the Scarlet Monastery Armoury. Common drop.

I think you are probably correct Immunios.

I always thought that attack looked cool..but I absolutely hated it when I got that axe. It would always proc at the most incovenient times and I had a hard time getting it to stop. I would end up spinning around in impressive looking circles while the mob ran to attack someone else. It also never seemed to do very good damage.

I ended up buying a replacement from the AH just to get rid of it.

It is actually one of the worst weapons for PVP, unlike the damage output would suggest. Once it procs, only thing other chars have to do is take a few steps back and attack you from range for 9 secs, while you are there only spinning around like a girl that just got a new dancing doll.

Aweful proc that is.

The only use I've ever found for that axe is to run low level guildies through instances. There is no limit to the number of mobs it'll hit, so you can just gather up a bunch and kill'em all with the prot at a high level. Not the best use, but it's fun. Other than that it's pretty much junk.
