Forgive my ignorance, but I'm her to learn. I reciently started a mage for raiding. I understand all the reasoning behind Hit>Spell Haste>+Dmg>Crit but I didn't know that there was a cap on hit. Where should a raiding mage stop adding to his hit chance and focus on damage?
(Edit) I'm 65 and building gear atm. Got the spellfire set and gladiators staff and still building on the spellstrike set)

Assuming you take elemental precision (as all raiding mages should) you need 164 spellhit to be hit 'capped' (which means 99% chance to hit with your spells as every mob has a 1% chance to resist).
