Sorry if this has been asked before, I was running an instance with Enh shaman yesterday and I noticed during his attacks that he got this black whirlwind thingie around himself, I was just wondering what that was?
I forgot to ask him after we were done.

Windfury. The godly ability shammies get at 30 to enchant their weapon with a spell that, on proc, gives something like two free attacks with boosted ap. Soon thereafter they can drop a totem granting friendlies a somewhat lesser version of it.
I love my Windfury. Especially when Crusader enchant procs during or before it. Oh LOVE! <3!
its kind of a good thing you did not ask him... any enhancement shaman would "lol" >_>.
but yes windfury is the bread and butter of enhancement shamans. It's their earthshield/chain heal. And their elemental focus.
