vindicator's bracers dragonhide vs leatherFollow

I need feedback from more theorycrafting people than myself. I'm assuming strenght = ATK power for rogues (think i read this before, please correct if I'm wrong).

vindicator's dragonhide bracers
236 armor
22 strenght
22 agi
29 stam
[red] + 2 res
Crit strike rating 21
res 17

vindicator's leather bracers
194 armor
25 agi
33 stam
[yellow] + 2 res
crit strike rating 12
res 15
ATK 26

Besides the obvious thing to say is that the leather bracers are indeed the "rogue" gear I want to be sure that the dragonhide gear isn't better.

Leather bracers has :
- 42 armor
+ 3 agi
+ 4 stam
yellow gem instead of red
- 9 crit strike rating
- 2 res
+ 4 ATK (=strenght, right?)

Is the loss of the 42 armor, 2 res and the 9 crit strike rating worth the +3 agi, 4 stam and +4 ATK ? Are there build dependencies for choosing dragonhide over leather (for instance muti build needs dragonhide ?)

Again, I'm a noob in theorycrafting. Discuss :)

Thinking quickly, but you could gem the Dragonhide with AP or AGI(not sure if AGI is read offhand. If not disregard.) and gain more resil, also gain more AP (and crit/armor if you can gem AGI and get gem.)

So looking at it, you should actually ask yourself is:

42armor
4resil
9crit
and the gain of more AP through Gemming (nothing saying you couldn't gem the Leather with AP, but I like to use and get cheap gem bonuses when I can and are logically make sense. I mean, if by choosing one I could gain 2resil by gemming a red, vs one you don't, logic dictates to get more bang for your buck.)

Now is that worth the crit gained from 3agi and 4stam? Since if you are going to gem either, 2resil, while a pitance, hey if you can get it without losing anything, go for it.

And I actually put way more thought and wording into this than I planned.

So back to the short answer, off the top of my head, and anything outside of a major overlook, I would take the Kodohide.

i would buy the rogue ones, since i like gemming blue or yellow (steady talasite woo) and that would be a free 2 resil

but then again, im using the heroic badge bracers lol.. so /shrug

well with the new s3, armor really doent mean squat anymore and with a yellow slot u can get more resliance (the green 1 res/stam probably best) so leather bracers imo. One last thing, does crit really play an impotant role in pvp? i dont think so.

It does somewhat. Resilience mitigates your crit chance by 10%. If you get the added crit rating to cancel that, you're back to normal. If you don't, you're critting 10% less (which for us is a bigger deal than you'd think).

aight then i guess I hadnt seen it that way but I would still take the yellow socket even for that very same reason u can get the crit gems in lue :)! The only reason I really figured it wasnt as important is due to most of the pvp gear is going to get your crit pretty far up there in the first place not making it as important to socket for.

Just for fun, I'm eventually going to make druid tanking gear and see how I do. Dumb idea I know. But I'll be amused!
