Anyone else notice that Ahoq (SV hunter of Nihil) has switched to MM? Same thing with the SV hunter in the top guild on my server (Killkillkill on AoS, US arm is down).
Anyone know why? Has MM been buffed a lot? If anyone knows let me know.

Maybe raid composition, if your raid is low on melee dps then SV with EW isnt as effective as MM with TS. But then again, maybe they were just bored and flipped a coin.
most likely its for pvp, those guys have already killed everyone to kill, so they are probably biding time in arena/bg's till the xp comes out.

If you go actually look at the talent spec of Ahoq it's purely a pvp/arena spec so unfortunately your coin theory doesn't work :D haha
I'm probably going to retalent when I hit 70 to do arena as well, but not out of boredom, but to get the good gear. I figure it will be easier to respec after that for kara and heroics, which even arena gear will be an improvement on what I already have. Just want to get a few pieces. Since I'm already fairly familiar with MM spec, it won't rock my world. When I respec for kara or heroics, that will be when it gets truely interesting for me. ^_^

He regeared since last time I looked. Last time he had over 8% crit reduction through resilience. But yes he's gone from raid to PvP spec.

Wrong, TS gives 120 RAP(I think RAP), EW can give way more than 120 AP(REGULAR AP, so every hunter in the group gets the bonus + tanks and the few melee dps). EW bonus applies to all PHYSICAL DAMAGERS, meaning hunters, rouges, warriors, feral druids, etc etc.
Or maybe they already have another SV hunter and didn't want to have 2 hunters with the same spec since EW only goes up once.

Trueshot aura adds 125 AP (not 120). This is melee and ranged.
EW Adds AP (melee and ranged) equal to 25% of the Druid's agility. At 940+ agility (which I saw on Ahoq in his SV gear) that's 235 AP.
BOTH apply to melee and ranged AP. This is why marks is considered weak - it's buff is less and applies to less people (i.e. 1 group instead of the whole raid).
Also consider his crit chance used to be 40+%, now it's only 30+%, although he is probably doing more damage per hit (but not enough to make up for it). Granted this is not all from a spec change, but a gear change as well - a lot of resilience and stamina.
