Poodle....do you actually read what has been written, or just try to make yourself out to be witty and cool....
Either way you aren't doing a very good job.

It was a feeble attempt to get you to flame the dumb ***, Theo. As it stands, MYTeddy got to him first. Drink more man, it's been at least a week since I've seen a good and solid flame from you.

In the event of a man-eating crocodile, when trapping said crocodile, it may be prudent to use a man as bait, because the crocodile wants to eat the man. In that context, the man would be bait. So, yes. I do think people can be flamebait. In the same way I think worms can be bait, which is why they're sold - at bait shops.

/sigh

Your analogy still fails, even with you trying to stretch it to cover your ***. In your "man-eating crocodile" case, the hapless man would be Theo's post, and Theo would be the heartless ******* throwing him to certain doom.

I think the word you were originally looking for is "troll."

Clearly we're pretty far OT at this point, but the original post never had that much substance. So meh.

I can't decide if that's a good thing or not yet.

By admitting that the man is being used as bait, you concede that a person can be bait. By extension, this means that a person can be flamebait. It doesn't matter if my insult was relevant or factually accurate. Hell, Theo called me an illiterate moron, and I'm obviously not illiterate and fairly sure I'm not a moron. At the very least, I'm less of a moron than Killerheals, whose idea of an insult is to compare someone to a fictional English criminal sniper who served in Afghanistan and got wtfpwned by Sherlock Holmes.

I could call Theo a tap-dancing gingerbread cookie in the shape of the Martian Manhunter and it'd still be viable as an insult. Provided you hate gingerbread. And the Martian Manhunter. Or tap dancing, but everyone loves tap dancing.

It's a freaking metaphor! The man in your sexual crocodile fantasy is acting as a piece of bait, yes. But relating that scenario to this one - Theo is the sadistic fisherman, dangling his post at you. You are the crocodile. His flamebait is a post, not a person.

In fishing terms, anything that will be eaten by the predator could be used as bait. On an internet forum of text, it is fairly impossible that a human will be consuming (or even trying to consume) another human. You lure them with text, not people. So, your point is still wrong and you need to give it up.

Seriously, you admitted your sword mistake ok at first and that was fine. Now you're just being an idiot. Hopefully you get rated down to sub-default soon and disappear. Either that, or smarten up.
