I can't seem to equip a sword in my Rogue's off hand. Which is odd, because I was able to do it a week ago.

It's kind of annoying because I just had an alt make the swords and enchant them before mailing them to my Rogue so he can duel-wield them. Is this is a bug or is there something regarding one-handed swords and the off hand that isn't letting me do it?

The item in question is nhah.

Huh.

That is incredibly infuriating. I went and spent money on mats to get those enchanted.

That was a relatively good counter-flame. Theo-esque even, aimed at Theo. Rate ups to both of you. Keep it going.

I'm inclined to agree with Theo here. It clearly says Main hand only. You not only ignored that when you enchanted it, but ignored it even when there was a problem. Did you think "Main Hand" was some kind of special effect?

No, I just didn't know what that part of the weapon description meant. More importantly, I confused it with "One-Hand." Even more importantly, I didn't actually read it because I assumed a weapon called "Iron Shortsword," being a sword, would behave in the same way as other swords I had encountered in the past.

I'm not disputing the slapping-myself-in-the-face aspect of my query here. It's just really annoying that it was a waste of money. Sort of like an "Aha. That's why Cruel Barb is so awesome for a Rogue" moment.

Guess it's my bad for assuming that a one-handed weapon is a one-handed weapon. Whoops! Won't do that again!

It is a one-handed sword. It goes in one hand.
It does behave like a sword, because it is a sword.

**** happens lol I did the same thing once a while back and felt incredibly dumb for spending the 40G.

Yes. It is a one handed-sword in that it goes into one specific hand, namely the right one, and is different to a One-Hand sword, which is used in one of either of the two hands. Hence the initial confusion.

I haven't mistaken a one-handed sword for a Macedonian sarissa. I've mistaken a weapon that goes only in the right hand for a weapon that goes in the right and also the left hand.

Really, I don't know why we're still talking about this. There's more productive things we could be doing, like molesting a housecat. That's not even very productive, and it's still more productive that what we're doing right now.

If that isn't sig-worthy, I don't know what is.

No, it really wasn't that good.

I didn't even try to flame him. I just called him a moron.

Most of the regular posters here can tell you that's about a 6 or 7 out of 10 on the "oh damn rofl, theo just flamed someone"â„¢ scale.

No, but I was still hungover at that point.

I drank so much on my birthday that I was drunk until 10 or 11am the following day; yesterday.

Er, you know flamebait isn't a poster, but rather a post, right?

I myself am not flamebait, nor are my posts. They're flames.

Your posts, if they were written to get a rise out of me and provoke a flame, would be flamebait.

Got it? Smiley: schooled

Tend to agree with Theo on this one. And calling someone "flamebait" doesn't make up for the fact that you disregarded reading. If you're new to WoW that's fine, but expect to take a little heat when you post a question you should have been able to figure out in 10 seconds on your own.
