Endless Rage -- worth it?Follow

#1 Dec 17 2007 at 6:40 PM Rating: Decent
I've been inspecting Arms warriors for pvp. Every one of them I see has Endless Rage. Is this talent really worth it? Have they changed it recently to make it more viable? In PVP, I really don't seem to run out of rage that often. I just don't see it as being all that useful to put that many points into Arms.

Anyone a big fan of the talent? If so, could you link me a pvp spec you find that includes Endless Rage that is an excellent pvp build?

i don't think anyone here would choose to dump 10 more points into arms for endless rage when you could put them in fury for enrage/flurry/imp slam, but if anyone cares to prove me wrong then go ahead, even pre-2.3 when i spec'd for it in my early 60's it didn't seem like i got 25% extra rage.

You're looking at the wrong warriors. It's not good, at all. Just say no to ER.

Thank you for confirming what I thought. I was hoping that I wasn't gimping my PVP viability by not having that talent. I really just don't see the point in going that deep into Arms.

actually....

ive been trying out an ER build i saw on the Oboards. some 2k+ rated (in 3's) warrior (using swords no less) had a 44/14/3 build that included imp MS and ER.

and its actually not that bad. much better than when i was leveling from 60-70 anyway. however, i say this with only a low 1700's rating currently, as well as the caveat that youre on a team where you wont get attacked but rarely. my team setup is pally/war/lock or pally/priest/lock, so im almost always NOT the target. ER makes a big difference there. but on the rare occasion where i get focus fired (say, by a three dps team) then the lack of enrage really hurts. if youre getting attacked, then the +25% damage from enrage is pretty much always there, and that helps loads.

soon as i get up to the 1900 level ill let you guys know about my experiences there. i plan on getting to at least 1850 with this spec, but we'll see how it feels up there and whether or not ill keep it past that point.

For a OT build, I found that a 41/5/15 build can and does work ok. Especially if you are actually OTing for some boss fights where you need to push crushing blows off the table, and still provide OT ability. It's NOT what I use now for OT spec, I upgraded some gear and out paced MS/slam for DPS. Since an OT build really should be a DPS build in disguise.
