I used to always take Spirit Tap but took Blackout lately for pvp which is fun. I also never realized that it can work on trash in ZA so that was helpful on the annoying Scouts.

Oh, I just actually clicked your link. If you're going to put all 61 points into shadow (which I wouldn't) PLEASE don't take Improved Fade. Quite possibly one of the worst talents ever. At least put those two points into Misery and get something useful. :D

This is probably a noob question, but why didn't you take Improved VE?

Because there aren't enough points to go around and my job in raids isn't to heal. If that extra 10% is going to make or break my raid group we're in trouble. Plus, I'm an aggro ***** as it is already :D

If I stop PvP at all, I will probably stick points there instead of Scream/Silence but until then Imp. VE was the easiest place for me to drop 2 points.

Personally speaking I'm biased towards 14/0/47 being a dedicated raider. However if you're dead set on keeping your all shadow build to help yourself in PvP then as suggested above you should drop improved fade and get full misery. Given that its a passive effect and applies to all magic damage done by the raid its quite possibly one of the best debuffs in the game and you'd be mad to not take it. This of course assumes you want to raid that is.

You see, I'm not entirely sure what that build is intending to accomplish. you've taken 5/5 in both tier 1 shadow talents which is odd in that a raid build would arguably only take one of those in order to progress down the tree, wheras a pvp build would only take blackout and ignore spirit tap.

If you were aiming for a shadow pvp build I'd probably say something like this would be more appropriate. It takes out the points in the shadow tree that are not useful for pvp and places them in the disc tree.

If you were aiming for something more raid oriented I would have said this (usual variations aside), it eliminates the pvp talents for a build emphasising long term damage and efficiency:

And if you were after a more mixed shadow build, something like this could be good:
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/priest/talents.html?5002120030000000000000000000000000000000000053252210241103051551

Either way, a lot of this is already in Khalane's excellent shadow priest guide which you can find within the first few pages of the priest forums.

This is what I'm looking at for when 70 finally rolls around. [link=http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bVrhzhxtoxqtfZeM0z[/link] Going for a veratility build. This should allow me to do it all in a nonfrustrating way. We'll see if it works out.

I am still undecided about where to put a few points, but this is where I want my final priestness to head in general: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/priest/talents.html?5012300133500120100000000000000000000000000253220010250123051000

Does one point is Silent Resolve or one point in Force of Will seem better? Or, should I put the last point in the Shadow Tree?
I usually do PVE more than PVP, so reduced threat is always helpful, but 1% to all my damage is nice, too.

My personal opinion is if you are going to be shadow at 70, you should get Vampiric Touch. Many fights are lost when the group member who could do something answers "I'm out of mana".
