where should my honor points goFollow

#1 Dec 17 2007 at 4:10 PM Rating: Decent
well i am about to hit 70 soon, and i have collected 40k honor points...i can't of course afford season1 gear + 2 weapons..so i need advice as to what would give me the most bang for the buck..should i go with 1 weapon + as much armor i can afford or should i go for 2 weapons + as much armor as i can,,,or just skip on weapons for now and buy all armor.

my armor is all quest blues and greens...my weapon is a 100 - 190 damage fist..i am hemo+cold blood spec ....if i buy a weapon it would be the mace which starts at 180 damage to some other crazy high number

by no reason an expert but I am currently where you are without the 40k honor points (farming)

I already had epic sword MH (blinkstrike) but when I asked a similar question the response I got was to fill weapons first. Then the non set vindicators stuff like bracers, belt, neck etc. Then work on biggest upgrades in S1 pieces and replace them with season 3 equip as you earn arena points. Keep in mind that S3 shoulders have personal rating requ. and other S3 pieces don't so maybe (at least for me) it should be the first S1 piece to buy.

Now all the vets can weigh in, but that is my current plan of attack.

It's actually opinion that matters on this situation. I went with gear for the looks, but buying weapons first is pretty awesome too.

It's just your choice. Have fun.

You getting into PVE or PVP? You doing mainly arena or raiding? Mix of both?

If you are doing arena most, get armor then weaps. If you are raiding or doing a mix, get weapons first.

That can work fine too.

mh weapon -> arena gear till you get 35 resil bonus (shoulder/gloves imo)-> vind pieces -> oh weapon -> other arena pieces

is a decent guideline

Feel like replying so why not.

I can agree to this as well, just in the point that it is all on opinion and how your general habits are.

My natural tendencies are to play somewhat defensive and reactionary, so I would prefer Armor (survivability) to an aggressive "glass cannon" strong attack.

So if you generally enjoy an aggressive attitude, you might want to go with weapons.

I don't think you can really measure what choice is statistically better.

If you're using garbage weapons, get those first. Otherwise, get two pieces of Gladiator for the 35 resil bonus, then vindicator's stuff. Bracers first, then start replacing your worst pieces of gear.

i just say mh weapon first is well... 71.7 dps -> 91.3 dps is a big jump, but make sure if you go for armor, gloves are first

silence deadly throw is so useful its ridiculous

Well, he said he had a Blinkstrike, so he would be going form 81.2 ~> 91.1 or whatever the exact numbers are.

My advice would actually be to sell the Blinkstrike (if you haven't equipped it yet) and get the 2 S1 weapons.

You should have about 13k honor left over after you get those and that should get you the Vindicator's Leather Bracers.

That should be a good start.
