Ok... I took your advise to try Marksman again before completely pushing it off as completely worthless.

And while I do feel it lacks in PvE, It really helps me burn down them casters quick. It is nice to not have to rely on a pet at all times to burn someone up. Unfortunately my pets attack speed is not the master "caster interference" that she use to be.

But all in all I love it. Silence shot is nice for those who are trying to cast a painful spell on me and I want to avoid it. Or the pesky healers to keep them from getting off a greater heal.

Aimed shot helps reduce how much the druids get healed for while in SV that is a life saver. And even in PvE where in places like Arc where the boss starts healing herself after her whirlwind attack. Put that Aimed shot debuff on her and bam, a lot less health healed when she tries.

I think I will prolly stay MM for a while longer. MM/SV ATM. Trying to gear up and I hate being so dependent on my pet that if she dies I lose one of my biggest DPS output moves.

MM/Sv is definately the best spec for PvP due to what you just stated.
For PvE its usefulness stops at early karazhan imo.

Yeah I do miss the angry kitty buff but at the same time I like that I can burn down clothies in like 3 seconds when I get the jump on them. And 5 if I don't and I resist their movement impairing effects.

I recently respecced to a MM/SV for PvP after trying both a BM and a SV spec for about a week each. This is by far my favorite spec. I love the burst damage and all the CC options you have. Silencing shot is my new favorite tool, nothing like stopping that Greater Heal with .3 on the casting bar :oÞ. I think the sole reason I wouldn't go back to BM for PvP is that I don't think I could live without Scatter Shot anymore. Having the ability to scatter any rogue / war into a freezing trap, and get back out to range is so nice. Doing it to clothies is even nicer as it gives me time to wind up a nice Aimed Shot for their face! I would definately have to say MM/SV is the way to go in PvP.

And you forgot to mention the +10% hp, surefooted, imp.wingclip, deterrence and more.

Yeah, I totally did. Imp Wing Clip and ENTRAPMENT are probably two of my favorite SV talents, even more so than Deterence. I think entrapment is a very under rated skill for PvP, it's usefulness in both BGs and Arena is unbelievable, and with 3/3 it procs quite often.

I never had good luck with entrapment. I got rid of it.

Holy ****!!

I guess this makes title number 2 with my name in it >.<

Sorry about the slow response, if you have been keeping up with the news, I have been having a little bit of a flood issue.

If you feel you are lacking PVE, you may be having issues because you feel your PET is lacking in PVE, you have to remember your pet is a bit squisheyer now :P However, between my fast shots and my Cat's (with CR) hits, casters are still pretty befuddled.

I am ending my SV stint, and switching back to MM. I will not gie SV a fail vote, it worked quite well for as bad as I was geared for it, it is just, I am no longer in a guild so I have no use for that spec. Yes I am still die hard MM, but SV wasn't as bad as a shock, and didn't fail as bad as BM did for me.

I never thought of using the Aimed Shot debuff for that boss... Might have to try that, then again I havn't been into much instances with Sulldoon in a long time, so I'll have to give that a go :)

If you would... Link your spec, I can link back my MM/SV build that worked great in Raids as well as 5-mans and Arena.

Wing Clip and Entrapment are totally useless outside of Major PVPing, the ony reason you should have a point in either of them is for fillers to get to the next level.

**** it, you get it anyways

The talent in Wing clip can be put anywere, it is a filler.

The spec above is the Ultimate MM Spec + Heroics/10-Man CC build, while maximizing your DPS (AS MM so Aethien you shutup).

Just something to think about (Imp Stings is also a trash point, but it helps your DPS out better than one point in Imp Arcane.)

meh, not optimal for PvE because its MM, and missing stuff for PvP imo...

i laughed.

Oh, and my hunter is going MM/sv when i reactivate my account (couple of weeks or so....i guess...)
Hardhitting (multi)shots, lots of disspelling arcane shots, silencing shot, imp. concussive and imp. wingclip, +10%hp, Surefooted and more.
hmmmmm pvp goodness.

edit: yes its a pure PvP build and lol monster slaying instead of humanoid slaying XD

LOL. Nice. that build looks similar to mine. Only difference is I picked Surefooted instead of the less resists on traps. I also did the typical 41/20 build with some slight alterations. See sig to view build.

I enjoy burning the squishies and letting them think they got their fire blast or what ever its called (5 sec cast) go off just to be supprised by a silence shot right as they are about to finish. Then scatter them the next time they start casting and freeze them for the last break on their casting. I usually don't need any more than that.
