Off-handing Thrash BladeFollow

My combat swords rogue just hit 44 last night, and I decided to have a higher-level alt make a Phantom Blade for him to use. All told the mats only cost a couple gold an hour or so of farming, so I don't feel too bad about splurging. The problem is that I forgot about Thrash Blade at 45. Now, I realize that Thrash Blade is an amazing weapon, and there's no question about whether I should be using it or not. But I'd feel bad immediately tossing the Phantom Blade when I get it.

Would it be permissible to use the Thrash Blade as an off-hand? I know it's kind of slow, and I've heard that weapons get half the normal proc rate in the off hand, but would it be worth it? I should point out that my current off-hand is Speedsteel Rapier, which is a little outdated.

Edit: Nevermind, I read it wrong. Silly me =P

If anything, you can always sell the Phantom Blade once you make it.. I've seen it go anywhere between 60-100g on my server.

Thrash Blade MH for sure. I used Sangthraze the Deflector or w/e the name is for my OH. That combo + sword spec has done wonderful things for me.

Keep in mind, the Thrash Blade's extra attacks can proc off the Sword Spec additional attacks and vice-versa. Loved seeing SCT pop up "Extra Attack!" like 4 times in a row.
