Is that a joke???Follow

I read that on an other forum not sure if its official. Do you know if that will be like this in 2.3.2???

If its real its our end in pvp against rogue

# Ambush: The damage multiplier on this ability has been increased from 250% to 275%.
#
# Hemorrhage weapon damage reduced from 125% to 110%, but the damage debuff has been increased.
# Preparation now resets the cooldown of Shadowstep and no longer resets the cooldown of Adrenaline Rush.
# Shadowstep now adds a 3 second, 70% movement speed increase.
# Sinister Calling now also increases the percentage damage bonus of Hemorrhage and Backstab by 2/4/6/8/10%.

Wait, Rogues are QQing about getting hit with nerf stick.

Everyone else is QQing about rogues getting buffed >.<

I don't really see how Rogues are getting nerfed on this one. Maybe I just dont get the joke or something...

Anyways, now I know that I must run from Rogues, at all costs. These buffs are just a tad bit ridiculous, just wait till Blizzard gets a new manager, Rogues are going to be severely nerfed.

You don't really think that a manager in blizzard as you put it has control over who gets nerfed and who gets buffed do you?

It's not necessarily that rogues are getting nerfed, but a popular spec is getting nerfed. The prep-adrenaline rush spec to be specific. But combat is still just as strong, possibly buffed as others say.

It's interesting to see another point of view after all I've been reading is Rogue opinions on the patch and Hemo changes.

Rogues were qqing at first because Blizzard was changing the buff they gave Hemo, a few weeks after they gave it to us. Their reasoning against this is that every rogue was going to respec to Hemo and and then stop, while they wanted Rogues to go further into Sub. So they make Hemo do less damage, take AR off Prep, which was a very successfull Arena build.

But Blizzard is giving Shadowstep a well needed buff with the snare. Before, you would ShS and due to lag or whatever, the target would be out of range if it was moving. After the patch, ShS will work sort of like Intercept, except less effective.

Blizzard buffed Ambush to try and make Daggers a little more viable. Resilience, high amounts of Stamina, high amounts of armor, along with the positioning requirement killed dagger burst. No more 1 shot Ambush crits from the pre 70's.

On my battlegroup, about 25% of rogues use daggers. Almost all of them are Mutilate. Mutilate offers control and CP generation which makes up for the negatives of daggers. So, most Rogues would garrote on you (since you can blink out of Cheapshot), instead of Ambush.

Of course after the patch, Rogue builds are going to be a lot more varied, so you never know what the rogue your fighting can do. Blizzard's intent was to make Rogues spec deeper into trees, and they accomplished that somewhat. They are starting to fix the Sub tree, which has been a joke for a long time. So just a little opinion from another point of view.

Our end against Rogues? Come on!

Did you forget we are getting Ice Block to all specs and Icy Veins? And if you think on Frost PvP you can figure that things will be wven easier. Kite a Rogue isn´t that hard if you have Ice Block or Trinket to clean the poison...with 20% cast speed we can throw that Frostbolt much easier and the snare bonus will be the end for melees, 40% chance to stay frozen on the floor by Ice Armor, CoC and Frostbolt (not to mention our Frost Nova and the Pet's). No...we are not screwed by Rogues.

Even if you do not spec Frost, things won´t change that much. They got +dmg output, we got an improve on our snare, +casting speed and Ice Block.

About the changes...yeah...Rogues need that. Actualy, they realy need a buff on some dmg buff as well as we need a solution to our Mana problems on PvP (wich the buff on Mana Gems will not cover).

2 shadow step to give them the oportunity to ambush 3 time easyly. I think that will be kind of dangerous. Ambush as opener, vanish, shadowstep ambush, reset cooldown, Shadowstep ambush.

I will have big problem to survive to that its my opinion maybe I'm wrong but in 1vs1 it will be a pain and i don't talk about all the interrupt they have and their cloak of shadow can still be pop.

Probably is that i'm missing some skill in pvp on my mage but i just don't understand how i'll stand against one rogue in 1vs1 and plz don't answer me to L2P because its exacly what i'm trying to do here

The rogues consider it a nerf because of two things:

Needed side info: the most common (and strongly advised) build in arenas was the 0/31/30 build with Adrenaline Rush and Preparation, using the (recently) buffed Hemo as its main attack.

- Preparation no longer resets AR and
- Hemo's recent buff getting reduced

It basically means that the AR/Prep build is very very dead again. Shadowstep once again looks like a nice option though, which of course was intented by Blizzard: speccing deeply into a tree to make it worthwhile instead of going hybrid like AR/Prep.

I think mages will still be able to put up a fight with a rogue, although a shadowstep build WILL hurt if combined with daggers. Mind you though, combo point generation will be at its lowest when using daggers without mutilate or seal fate, so there lies a weakness.

A) Gear up - get you HP to at least 9k, and get some decent resilience!

B) Use AE rank 1 to get rogues out of stealth when they vanish (since they'll be close to you when doing so after having made that first ambush).

C) Get better gear - ambush is probably the worst opener, so if you can't survive it, then your gear sucks.

D) summon WE and make it attack the rogue - it'll see him through stealth and still cast (bug, I know, but if the hunters and locks can use it, why shouldn't we?)

E) Use icebarrier.

F) Kite by using frostbolt rank 1 whilst doing /golfclap or /wave at the rogue

G) GEAR UP!!!!!11111!!!!!!!!oneoneoneoneeleven!!!!


There you go, doing all of the above things (or at least just A, C and G) will make you kill rogues, no matter their specc.

This new patch is killing off the AR/Prep rogue, presumably to make the warriors stop QQing, and enhancing what we were good at in the first place. Killing clothies.

I really don't see many rogues speccing lolstep(unless they're bad). Most likely you will see most of the HARP rogues going back to a combat build or mutilate.
