Good stats past Karazhan?Follow

The guild I am in currently, recently lost the Priest Classleader due to real life troubles. The rest of us Officers decided to do the job until a new one can be found, but we are working with a severe lack of knowledge. At the moment, we are recruiting healers but we have no idea what we should look for when it comes to stats.

So, I decided to turn to Allakhazam's class forums. I've gotten help here before, and I have a feeling people here would know this class far better than I would.

So here's the question:

What stats should we look for in an applicant? How much +healing is enough when you go to the first few bosses in Tempest Keep? How much mana should a priest have at that point? What about mp5? Does +spellhit matter even one bit for a healing class? I'd appreciate it if the more knowledgeable amongst you could help me set up a little list of stats we could set as a minimum when recruiting healers, because as it stands we are somewhat clueless. Unless they are wearing full T4, with other good epics, we have no way to judge these matters.

I'm in mostly kara gear, so i'd consider myself ready for the bigger raids (although i've never done them).

here are my stats:

1500 healing
160 mp5 (this may be higher than average... i'm an mp5 nut)
9500 mana
8000+ health
0 spell hit (you can't resist a heal)

3/3 primal mooncloth is better than kara gear
2/2 whitemend is also very good

Our guild has stat requirements to qualify for dkp for Tier 5 raids.

Here are the Healing Priest ones:
1700 healing
150 mp5 while casting
9000 mana
6400 health with pieces to change out depending on the fight

The Healing priest class advisor can pass someone if they aren't quite there on one stat but a little above on another sort of thing. Not sure if they are strict or not in terms of ease getting those numbers as I am shadow.

Hmm, thanks. I'll forward this to our forums then, so we can make relatively informed decisions until we find someone trustworthy and reliable enough to be the new Priest Classleader.
