so, i've been thinking (i know, i know - that was my first mistake ;) ).... i realized there is an awesome paladin FAQ, pre-kara holy guide, how to tank guide... but no guide offering much help for ret pallies. i know ret is less popular than prot or holy, but i think a lot of that is too many ret pallies who too rarely get constructive advice for playing ret.

first of all, i've started working on a ret pally guide for my guild's guildportal page, but i was wondering if anyone here would be interested in it being posted here....

and secondly, i realized my ret experience is limited still just being level 67 on my ret pally. i've been planning the guide based on my experience playing and also on the many helpful posts i've seen here. that being said, several of those helpful people here have far moe knowledge of ret than me, and i'd love to see a ret guide by tommyguns or possibly the couple others with the experience. ;)

anyway, feedback would be appreciated. my 'guide' would probably not be done for another 2 weeks or so due to the limited time i have because of my training schedule with the Marine Corps, and i know you guys say usually allakhazam only has 3 stickies per category, so if its not a helpful thing here thats fine... maybe even just a link to it at the end of the FAQ or in the Ret section of it.

I'd like to see a really good ret guide here, though a couple steps would have to be made to ensure that it gets stickied.

First off, you'd have to make a really great guide and show it to us so we can concur that it's a great guide. To accomplish that, you can do what I did and post it to your journal then have a link to that journal, or you can just start it as a thread and have people review and post on it.

Once you've done that, you have to convince the powers that be that we need a 4th sticky for ret paladins, which may or may not be a problem I dunno. I've seen another class forum with 4 stickies. We'll see how it goes. Best case scenario they let you sticky it, worse-case scenario they just tell me to link it in the FAQ.

I would like to see a good Ret guide made. While I feel Ret is a joke, that's only because the majority of Rets still are clueless about what a Ret is. I'm taking a couple weeks or so off during the Holidays, but when I come back I'm gonna try to finish off a Ret set and respec for a while to try it out/change the pace of things. GL and hope you come up with something very helpful :)

I actually have an excellent ret guide, unfortunately it's on my home computer. I'll post it when I get home.

BTW, I didn't write it and will give credit where it's due.

I'd prefer if one of us wrote it instead of just copying-pasting from some other site.

It honestly couldn't be done much better but I would be more than happy to give it to you to rework and possibly add to your FAQ. You've done such a fine job with it plus I'm not sure but isn’t there a limit on the number of FAQs?
