Well you can spec ToL if you also do some raid healing or something, but you won't be using it in Arena for sure. You have too much shifting to do just avoiding your opponents you won't have time to remain in ToL.

*shrug* Druids seem a bit overpowered in 2v2, but is that a big deal? Blizz has already stated that Arena balance is centered around 5v5, and Druids are barely middle of the pack in 5v5... I've seen full glad 4 dps teams take out a clothie in 3 seconds flat... Which healer wins in that scenario: The one with NS->HT and Swiftmend, or the one with pain supression?!? If they DO nerf druids, the first response from the community should be "ok, so now that we are *reasonable*, what can you do to increase our viability in the arena forum that you prioritize?"

This would be a good time to note that Warriors and Locks have a place in 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5 in all levels of play, and they take less overall skill from the player in order to perform well.

Really, if they wanted to bring druids down in power level, they could do so by taking away the drinking mechanic in arenas... It's already annoying as hell that so many games come down to who drinks the most, but it also happens to be what druids are best at. All that mobility is nice, but the REAL reason it's winning is that it lets druids get 3-4 sips off before the opponent can even catch up, making druids the outlast kings in small arenas. Then again, I think that Bliz allows drinking in the arenas because some classes have some SERIOUS mana issues that would need fixing before they could take it away (*glances over at my hunter and my buddie's mage*), while some roll in with far, far too much (locks)... Allowing water in the arena is sort of a crude answer to an ugly problem.

Anyways, the way bliz reacts to these things, the nerfs are comming sooner or later. With luck, they will be smart about it...

Only one extra point for the Tree. Not gonna kill your spec to have raiding ability, and the option to shift into Tree when it's clear you can get away with it. Useful for small man content, or dual-boxing with a BM Hunter 5-man group quests.

tree is actually very good in arena as long as theres no warlock or shadow priest present. now that you can abolish poison in it, hunters are less of an issue, and if a mage is nearby then you can heal with impunity with your cast-less heals and polymorph immunity.

its by no means *the* way to go, but it is a viable thing to do under the right circumstances.
