Offhands for DW furyFollow

#1 Dec 15 2007 at 7:52 AM Rating: Decent
Was just wondering what peoples personal opinions are on OH speeds for Fury spec. Ive browsed several forums including EJ, here and the wow warrior forums, and i still get about a 50/50 answer of slow/slow to slow/fast.

Just from my experiences, i can say i prefer slow/fast for steady rage gen and flurry procs, but if the difference isnt extremely different i could probably manage testing a slow offhand granted one drops.

Also, i was wonder if slow/slow needs a different stat set-up, like more +hit or something to be effective. my armory is:

in my opinion, im pretty well geared compared to my server, but in terms of the world im probably not even close.

Also, yes i know my crit is kinda low, but i partially geared myself around having a feral druid ~99% of the time, so normally after raid buffs im around 33% crit 36% if we have a Retadin :X

to min/max dps slow/slow is optimal. But if you having rage starvation issues, where cooldowns are cooling off before you can use them again. Slow/fast is good too, it works just fine. Your only getting a slight increase to dps from slow/slow, in my gear with 2500 ap, 30% crit, 14% hit, I get ~15-20 dps from moving from a 1.5 to a 2.6 speed OH weapon.

The reason for a slow OH is for whirlwind.

Another great reason for slow/slow is that flurry ticks do not get consumed by your OH as much. If you have same speed MH/OH, you get a ghost extra flurry tick (as long as you don't have WINfury procing or sword spec...), which I'm not sure is a glitch or just 'working as intended for now'.

Dude... I just did Ogri'la dailies with you today -_-
Personally, I like Slow/fast because of the steady rage generation and being able to use skills as soon as you get the rage. But maybe with the new Whirlwind, you might like the slow offhand too. I'd go with slow/fast.
