Can I still stealth chests?Follow

Wow....first post on Ala... I feel like a rookie... Few months of Ala steroid use and I'll be just like Bonds and Clemens...

Anyway, I was wondering, as a rogue are there any instances in which I can still stealth in and solo a chest or two? I know they nerfed this recently, but was wondering if anything still exists?

I think that there is a way with the new patch to solo mech for the chests, even though it was supposed to be nerfed... Have a look on youtube or something... ;p

Eh, that takes lil to no skill and is an exploit imo. You might find yourself on a 3 day ban doing that.
If you want to farm chests for real, do it in manatombs, no exploits, just simply sap and kill the mobs guarding the chests and loot em. 2 chests and 2 mines(some herbs too) in every instance. I usually pickpocket every mob on my way to the last mine in prince shaffar's area so that slows me down so i never get locked out of the instance.

I do 3 resets an hr, average about 35g(straight gold from chests and silver from mobs) per run, not counting health pots and mana pots(3g per on my server), rare gems, and rare items(which i average 1 per reset).

I did 5 resets today, ended up with 3 rare gems, 3 rare items, about 180g and 30 health pots, 8 mana pots, 4 stacks of adamantite ore, 2 primal earths and got really lucky and had an epic bs pattern(worth 500ish on my server, already have a bid for 400 on it) drop off a mob that resisted my pickpocket, lol. Not bad for less than 2 hr of farming that you don't have to compete for.

One caveat is that this type of farming is 'a lot' easier with a blade flurry spec(combat maces/fists/sword, trispec hemo). You can do it specced daggers or shst, but it's a pain since most of the mobs guarding the chests are in grps of 3.

Well if it wasn't an exploit why did blizz fix mech?

because chests were never supposed to be easily farmed by soloes.
