70 Bear Confused by staminaFollow

HI Alla Druids. I read the 101 in hopes of discovering an answer to this, but didn't see anything.
My health in bear with MOTW is about 13581, 950 stam. I have 2 helms, one that grants about 45 stam, and one that grants 33+18 from a gem for 51 Stam. No matter which of these I equip, the Stam remains at 950. If I remove the helm slot my stam drops as it should, but neither one goes over 950.
I asked a few people in game and they say there is not a stam "cap" or top level amount of stamina, so I am very confused that I can't raise it higher with gear that has more!
I have double checked that the metagem is supported by the gear I am wearing to grant the +18 stam, and when it isnt the figure is appropriately lower.

Has anyone encountered this or have some knowledge to illuminate my addled mind? I'd appreciate it

Try shifting out and shifting back in once you have the new item on. I swear I've had problems where my stats on the character sheet don't update properly if I'm in a form that has a stat modifier and I change gear. Your HP on your bar should definitely change, but the stam stat may be bugged.

If that doesn't work, then I don't know what to tell you. There's certainly no stam cap (even if there is, you're nowhere near it). You're sure you've met the requirements for your meta gem to work right?

Very much like the Imp MotW tooltip. Not sure if they have fixed it or not, but for a long time the tool tip for the buff was the same whether or not the druid had the talented or untalented buff. When you went into your char screen you could check that the stats/resists had gone up the correct amount depending on which you got.
