Felstalker vs Netherscale for a SV hunterFollow

I've capped my LW and I'm starting to work on my Netherscale set but the same thing that's been niggling the back of my mind since I chose the dragonscale spec is still there - Is the Netherscale set all that great? And especially now that I'm SV where AGI is king.

I mean, it's purple so I'm supposed to love it, but the extreme lack of agility worries me. I'd be replacing the Felstalker set with the Netherscale, which means a drop of 62 agi right off the bat, without taking into consideration the gems (FS has 3 red sockets and 3 blue, NS has 3 blue and 3 yellow). Here are the links to the sets

Felstalker

Agility: 62
Armor: 1286
Intellect: 54
plus 150AP

Netherscale

Armor: 1628
Intellect: 45
Stamina: 71
plus 21 mp/5, 166AP, and 70 Crit

I just realized I logged with my fishing gear on, so my Aromor wouldn't be much use, but I have around 780 agi, 1550 AP, 28% Crit and 6800 health unbuffed. Is the bump in armor, Stam, MP/5, AP and crit worth the huge drop in AGI, and smaller drops in Int?

I've never really used Azerocs AEP's before now. Maybe it's finally time I delve into the Dark Art of Hunter Math....

for survival go with felstalker without a doubt.

In fact the only piece of that crafted ebon netherscale set i would ever recomend would be the chest, but i would never recomend a sv hunter uses any pieces of that set.

Yep, Felstalker is the set until you can replace this with other upgrades.
BTW, you don't have to use blue gems in blue gem slots, you can socket +6 or +8agi gems in all those slots (at least when you can afford the loss of stamina from socket bonuses).

On a sidenote:
All in all however your agi is at a nice level, but your AP is far behind of what I would have expected at that level of agility.
(I compared those numbers with my gear and I seem to have a different weight on AP. I'm sitting at 829agi, 2150AP, 33.5%crit, 9300hp, 6500mana with only aspect of hawk up). Thus while your agi is very close to my agi all other stats are way behind those. This is because of the different level of gear we have equiped, which leaves me to wonder why your agi is so close to mine, but all other stats (especially AP) are a lot more behind.
Do you raid much? It might be worthwhile to stack agi to that level even at the cost of a ton of AP if you raid with a melee heavy raid group. If you however do more 5mans you might want to consider upping your AP somewhat to increase your personal damage.

For SV spec, I don't think it's even a question. Take the Felstalker set.

I have compared these two sets several times, looking for possible reasons to take the Netherscale set over the Felstalker set. I have yet to find a reason to go with Netherscale. In this case, ignore the color. Just cause it's purple doesn't mean it's better.

I'm a MM spec, with basically T4 level gear...with the exception of the Felstalker set because I haven't got the tier pieces to replace it yet. But, the Felstalker set has served me quite well for a long time now. I still see no reason to replace it with Netherscale, so I'll continue to hold out for the T4 items.
