Lvling build?Follow

#1 Dec 13 2007 at 12:24 AM Rating: Decent
I just started a rogue, it's my first one and I don't know, how should I distribute my talents for lvling. Could anyone link me any good build? I saw sth in Rogue guide, but I don't know if it is good or no.

And it says that on lvl 40 respec to this:

Are these good? Or do you have any better ideas? And what weapons I should use for lvling? I didn't buy any yet, so it's good moment to decide.
I think I found one, is it good?

Read the Follow the stickies.

What the sticky suggested is the best path.

Riposte is very valuable solo, imp. slice n dice & silence effect on kick is not.

I agree on the kick but I like SnD. I got rid of riposte and put it in SnD and like it better.

The problem with Imp. Slice and Dice is that the extra time will not be used. You spend a lot of time out of combat when grinding, so at best you'll get an extra second or two on the next mob. If you really want to use Slice and Dice, just dump a single point into it when you initiate combat, it will easily last all the way through the fight, even without it being talented.

So you think 3rd build with little changes is good, right? And weapons for this build? 2 swords?

Yep, 2 swords.
Try and get a sword with a speed of about 2.5-2.8 for your main hand and a sword with a speed of around 1.5-2.1 for your offhand.

Offhand sword at 2.1 speed is too slow, i would suggest use a 1.3-1.5 speed dagger if u cant find a fast offhand sword so that your poisons/combat potency can proc more often.

Problem with that is if he goes sword spec in the combat tree he misses out on the proc for free swings....not a good idea.

If your horde do the SM quest to get the sword of omen. That will last you and your offhand until about level 50. At level 50 I changed to the PvP reward sword for main hand, and then purchased the Hanzo Sword from the AH for off hand.

Those free swings you get from combat swords really add up and is one of the reasons to level using combat swords. Any other combo and you will gimp yourself.

from lv 45 plus if your full combat your offhand strikes can add energy (w/combat potency talents), so having a fast off hand weapon is very beneficial. having sword specialization helps too cause it increases your # of hits basically
