Can someone tell me what expertise is on the melee stats and the one combat talent and what it does for a rogue?
I should clarify...
I just keep thinking that it is something different than regular weapon expertise since it has the place on my stats on my character window that says 0. Am I making this more complicated than it really is?

It does exactly what it says it does, Lowers the chance a mob can dodge or parry your attack.

Weapon expertise != weapon skill.
Or in layman terms, weapon expertise is not the same as weapon skill.
Weapon expertise itself does indeed to what covalesce said.
Lowers the chance your attacks are parried/dodge by a certain percentage.
I think it is 1.25% per 5 weapon expertise.

1 Expertise == -.25% chance to be dodged or parried.

Hit Rating VS Expertise Rating, which more is more important for raid? 20 hit rating or 20 expertise rating?
I think(not entirely sure) 20 expertise is the cap. So it would be nice to get that and then get a balance between AP/hit gear.
