So, when I hit LvL70 I decided to head to the BG's and work on getting some epic gear. Most my stuff are bues, so I though I should do OK for a squishy...........lol.......Not. Warrior intercepts me...slice/dice, Im dead in 3.5 seconds..:( Rogue saps me.....slice/dice....dead in 3.4 seconds :(, what gets me is that I never get a chance to even cast a single spell.......who said Locks were OP. I don't consider myself a poor player, but OMG!

Run AV and stick with the pack until you get good gear. Blues/no resilience don't cut it in PVP.

TBH, IMHO, a Rogue with no Resilience against a Warlock with a little Resilience is probably going to win anyway. We don't give a damn about lowered crit chance and damage, we can't get so much as an instant HoT off against you while being stunlocked anyway!

Heh, we were definitely OP when TBC first came out. However, all the nerfs we've been getting are totally unnecessary and overkill. We were balanced after 2.1 (IMO, but the MS "nerf" was a fix and probably necessary). Rogues have always been our counter-class, but MS Warriors are now also our counter-class, which I'm not really happy with. Also, even a Rogue has a chance against a well-kiting Hunter, a Shaman still has a chance in any fight and such. I understand that Rogues ought to have a large advantage over us, but as it is they dominate us. The problem isn't that we're getting crazy nerfs all the time, but the only notable buff we've had is that Grounding Totems don't make everyone DoT-proof any more, which was a bug to begin with.

Rogue with no resilience vs lock with no resi is rogue win for sure,no doubt.
If both have 400 or more resilience, chance of lock winning is increasing.
I think mike meant that Blues\no resi gear dont cut it in serious pvp,in our case >)

Once you get into the 13k+/350+ range, rogues actually fall off drastically in how dangerous they are. Their HP doesn't scale nearly as well and their entire ability to take you down is based on having you dead/near dead by the time cloak of shadows is done. If you're too thick for them to blow through, in a straight up slugging match you will win.

Depends on spec and if they can get the jump. I have 11.4k health/355 resil/945 spell damage and if a good PVP AR/prep rogue gets the jump I'm absolutely screwed. I can burn every cooldown but its really futile against a good rogue.

Now bad rogues, yes they're not so dangerous. Dagger rogues, non PVP spec'd/geared rogues, low stam/resilience rogues sure. But a good PVP rogue with maces, AR/prep, 10.5k health and 400 resilience should destroy any warlock, especially true for non-SL/SL locks. Even as SL/SL its incredibly tough and rogues should win that matchup.

Hunters though -- you'll outgear them eventually and can just tank through their dps.
