Ok, so murder > imp EA for 1 point difference.

I also noticed you moved some points in the sub tree. Setup im ok with giving up, but GS and master of sub... I'm not so sure.

I guess if you get rid of setup, GS has no more use.

Master of sub I always saw contributing to the burst damage, but only at the beginning of a fight for only a few seconds. I guess that can be traded for 6% AP through all fights.

SoH and heightened senses look like different types of resillience which is allways good.

Elusiveness looks very utilitarian in those times of need.

Looks like a nice build. But it brings up a last question for me. Would it be worth it to trade 1 point in deadliness to finish out heightened senses?

i figured you wanted extra burst, so if you want to max out heightened senses you can move from deadliness easily yes

------------

ghostly/setup i dont see too use as a dagger build, since you should be controlling your opponent a good amount anyways

the build NEEDED elusiveness, blind is a great control element and god knows daggers need whatever they can get

i personally only found imp ea to be really useful at 1/2, since its enough to eat thru arena cloth... while the 2v2 can be overkill sometimes

master of sub is just bad... the ap is a much better gain of dps, theres no question about it... evenmoreso since daggers love ap for big crits

Is EA really only used in ShS I see that its a must sense ure dmg base isn't going to be as great as a cmbt rogue. Would it be vialable in any other spec?

Its also very useful since the CP gen is starting to get waay up on the sub tree via hemo, initiative, and premed (soon to be a point on ShS itself). Meaning you can get at least a 4-5 point EA up in the start of a fight(assuming premed is not on CD and init procs)and still have a nice base of CPs. It definitely doesnt hurt to slap it up there for the nice damage boost.

Once I get my rogue up I'll grind the swords and try a shadowstep/garrote/rupture build for pvp and spec combat for pve.

Rogue just dinged 56, so he's getting there.

I really wanna try mut though, simply for stabbing kidneys. Probably my favorite animation in the game.

how are the shammies and druids coming?

shamans i dont get to fight enough, but its kind of the same fight as if you were combat

druids are just the builds weak point.... the anti kiting tools we have cant match a resto druid who knows how to play too well

resto druid (with insert swarm particularly) is easily our worst fight

nothing consistant really, trying man -_- it sucks

Are you fighting in BGs or out in front of major cities?

Very nice, Mongoose! One thing that you may want to add (that any good hunter will do) is a snake-trap. Those things are a b*tch as they will continue to follow/dot you and also often apply crippling or mind-numbing poison as well.

I know you can CoS out, but as a hunter and rogue... I can say that I often use this one =)

I will tell you, though, that this has really helped me... I'm relatively new to PVP on the rogue (and not even to 70 yet), but already I'm discovering some of the strengths and weaknesses of the class and have really enjoyed reading this! Rate up, for sure!

i mainly use duels in front of orgrimmar for my testing, and all my opponents are at least my gear level or higher

---

i dont see snake trap used too much honestly, but if it is... it seems to be a BM hunter only thing, but if thats the case they trap + BW... so i just vanish and cos

maybe kite the snakes away from the hunter a lil bit, then shadowstep... then vanish/cos

but im sure if a mm or surv hunter tried that kinda thing, the loss of range control would 100% not be worth it, so snake traps... /shrug

---

ill link ya some builds... sure!

i used these 2 mainly... the top being my current one, and the one that works better overall... but the bottom worked very well against mages and melees

I did encounter few hunters using snake trap, it can be really annoying for all kind of poisons on you, and the super luck get dazed by stupid snakes, the luck of getting success vanish from there is like.. !@#$...
