You are indeed investing a bit too deep into Resto, in my opinion.
Also, what was your question/the point of this again?

think of it like this; deep resto healing revolves around tree form. tree form doesnt use healing touch, so you can nix all HT-related talents from you build. this drops tranquil spirit and empowered touch, giving you 7 more talent points to work with.

next up we have imp. tranq. in a 5-man, tranq might pull aggro around you if youre in a situation where you need it, but thats what bear form is for; you drop into bear and wait things out, soaking all sorts of damage thanks to your higher armor and stam (just be sure to swap in a +armor weapon when you go bear). so you can ditch imp. tranq (imo) for another 2 points to do with what you will.

this gives us 9 more points to play around with. im a fan of minoring in feral when i major in resto, because the early feral talents can make you into a very respectable off-tank. grab 5/5 ferocity, 2/2 brutal impact and 3/3 feral instinct (or swap impact for 2/3 thick hide, or some combination of FI and thick hide), then pick up feral swiftness and feral charge. this way, when you pop tranq and get aggro, you can drop into bear, tank nicely for a bit, feral charge some caster far away, use the time to pop a quick regrowth on yourself with a swiftmended rejuv, then back into bear.

it also gives you awesome pvp viability, altho its not the "cookie cutter" druid arena spec. all of this, while preserving raid-viable healing ability.
