Volley + Misdirect = ProfitFollow

Volley does not consume Misdirect charges.

I'll let the awesomeness of that statement sink in for a while.

What does this mean? You can stack some added threat onto the tank/pet/your irritating friend. This would probably be best used as a secondary Misdirect, after the boss is already stationed in the tanking spot.

Parting words: Real Hunters Volley-Misdirect pull. ^^

Did you confirm that threat generation with omen? I could have sworn that they fixed that bug a several patches ago.

To be honest, I've only done it in TK. I haven't tried it anywhere else. I would run up to the AoE pulls in Solarian's room, MD our Tankadin, and let fly with the Volley. They all changed direction from me to him, and no charges were used.

And then about half a second later, everyone opened up with AoEs and Omen spazzed out. Because the mobs turned from looking at me to looking at our tank, this leads me to believe that it does indeed Misdirect. (And none of the counters went away)

Omen isn't strictly accurate, but this definitely works. It can be handy on Morogrim Tidewalker and Solarian, but Volley's threat is so minimal it's usually not THAT big of a deal.

Not a great big deal, no, but it definitely sounds like it could be useful when pulling those great big packs. The first few ticks of a healing HoT wouldn't peel all the mobs onto the healer, at least.

I thought this was pretty common knowledge. At least every hunter I've told already knew it.

I've been using this to MD groups (we first discovered it in SLabs) at my roomates Tankadin for a while.

hmm cool. Next time I'm in Slabs, I'll try it on those damn skeletons. Anyone know if Explosive trap does the same thing?
