Hey all,
I've seen some helpful macros in this forum over the course of a few weeks, but I've always forgotten to write them down. Specifically, I was hoping you all could tell me a CS macro that stops a spell (if you're in the middle of casting) and casts CS. Any another ones that you've found helpful would be great too.

Thanks

Now, I'm not sure, but I'd assume it's something along the lines of

Quote:
/stopcasting
/cast counterspell

Or something simple like that. I could be off though, I'm just thinking of this from the top of my head. =P

EDIT: 50th post! Woo! I gots a star! =D

For button saving space, you can put one of your macros to conjure each gem, in sequence, and another to consume each gem in sequence. Then you have 2 buttons for your gems. If you really wanted to get fancy, you could put it on a left click and a right click of a button. Same thing for portals.

A good place for macros is wowwiki.

And cryolysis sticks a big button in your viewing area on your screen... this macro can be stuck on a button bar and take up no more room than a button. ;-)

Cryolysis eliminats probably 15-20 buttons of my action bars. I love it.

I've tried to use it a couple of times and it never has worked. Got it from curse-gaming. Is there a better place to download a copy that works?

I actually use macros for all of my casting with the mage (29 BGs mage). I have my hotkey bar setup as follows:

1. Cold spells, instant (press) and longer casting (shift-press)

/cast [modifier:shift] Blizzard
/cast [nomodifier] Frost Nova

2. Fire spells (same as above)

/cast [modifier:shift] Fireball
/cast [nomodifier] Fire Blast

3. Arcane spells (same again)

/cast [modifier:shift] Arcane Missiles
/cast [nomodifier] Arcane Explosion

4. Misc tools

/cast [modifier:shift] Polymorph
/cast [nomodifier] Cone of Cold

5. Counterspell

/stopcasting
/cast Counterspell

My fingers can't reach 6 very well while continuing to hold the 'w' key to run forward, so I try not to put things there that I need to just press instinctively.

Also, I map the scroll wheel up and down to macros:

Wheel up:

/cast [modifier:alt] Frost Bolt(Rank1)
/cast [nomodifier] Scorch

Wheel down:

/cast [modifier:alt] Mana Shield
/cast [nomodifier] Blink

I did have to remap the camera zoom to get the mouse wheel thing working, and I had to remap the numbered hot key bar selections to get shift-1 through shift-4 working. I didn't want to use 'alt' there because that normally targets yourself (when it makes sense to do so). I also know that you can short hand the macros above with a semi-colon, but I leave it in the longer format because I may add another modifier in the future.

I picked up the new version a while back. Cryolysis 2. It has better functioning buttons all around with more customization.

I use all ace2 stuff for the most part, so I just use the updater and it gets updated whenever I run the updater.
