Living without StealthFollow

Leveling a rogue as my main has left me handicapped when playing my alts. Stealth got me through so many quests quickly and easily.

My alts, however, do not have stealth. While fun to play, I fear my playstyle was greatly influenced by my main. How do you guys cope on your alts without stealth?

Just learn how to work any other class' strengths. Druids have stealth/healing, Paladin's survivability, Hunter's have pets etc etc Playing a class for 70 levels definitely puts you into a pattern of play, but all along the way I've brought up my alts when I needed a break from the Rogue. Just play a class enough and you'll see where they excel. The first twenty levels aren't indicative of how a class plays the more you progress, so I can only suggest playing more (since I don't know your alt's levels.)

Good luck

The alts I play most are my pally and my mage. I cope with not having stealth by being able to take on tons of mobs at once and /lol (my pally) and by having control and killing things before they get to me (my frost mage). However, these are only my suggestions. They probably don't count for much.

I know exactly how you feel. After playing on my main, I'll jump on my alt and want to sprint. Now it seems it's taking forever to get to one place. Just have to deal with it and get to 40 on my alts, I guess to get mounts.

The one alt that I've actually leveled past 30 is a druid and that is workin for me since she has her own stealth and her own speed boosts. I had never thought of it that way before, but it might be the reason why I like her.

She gets more and more fun as she gets levels too. Oh and no level 30s blues like I had with my main. Of course my main started out as great fun from day one rather than slowly growing on me.

play something involved
being involved = you dont even think of the rogue tactics

mashing frostbolt will just remind you of a 'combat swords for girls' kinda character

tankadin, chain-pulling warlocks, fire mages, shadow priests, feral druids all seem to be natural rogue-alts, for various reasons (similar dmg, similar style or involved and a completely new cough-exciting-cough experience)
