Ok, well first of all i have played a level 70 pally tank for some time, and i know how much defense rating means to a tank. But i decided to make a new toon, a rogue, level 40 now. And i was wondering, should i be worried about defense rating? With the pally i wasted what seems like about 2 months grinding out honor points to get some epic gear, then as i learn the game, resiliance rating is really only good for pvp, but would resiliance or defense rating matter that much to a rogue? I will not be doing arena, i like PvE much better. Any advice?

You definitely dont want defense rating. Resillience, well, everybody needs resillience for PvP. You are definitely going to want to stack agility and AP with some stamina as a rogue.

Yes, that would do, especially the weapons.
