Hello, long time lurker here....

I was curious on people's thoughts on what defensive pet abilities get priority. (stamina, armor, resistances to be exact) This would be from a lvl'ing solo pve perspective.

Thanks!!

If you were a long time lurker you'd know this was answered before.

People come and go, attitudes towards talents change with updates and changes to the game. There is a hundred other reasons why this is a good question to ask, even re-asking it every so often.

Besides it is NOT answered in the "All questions answered here" sticky. Even the author decided not to answer it due to a thousand different variables.

But I put forth very specific variables. Your response was only intended to kill a legit question. Why?

There was a thread on this last wednesday, hence the "long time lurker" seeming somewhat off...

Thread was called "Multiple questions in one topic", lurk your way down page one and find it.

What variables?

It's very simple, and has been stated several times:
IT DOESNT MATTER. Health affects magic and physical attacks, armor and resistances affect their specific types. So, you can do armor and resistances, you can do health, or you can do a combination. But its all up to you. The only time it does matter is at 70.

ok...I can admit when I'm wrong. I don't know how, but I missed that thread, AND another just a little way down from this thread.

Sry for asking questions that have been answered recently. My search fu apparently needs to be looked at.

Ok, well for solo leveling i would say just stock up on armor and stamina. Caster encounters that are really needed and you dont have enough health are either non-existant, or few and far between. Honestly you barely ever see casters anyway.

Oh! We got more of the "These guys are just jerks" posters! Yay! I've missed these guys so much, you wouldn't believe it. These boards almost got boring lately, with all the actual on-topic discussions and interesting threads about speccs vs gear. Not to mention the debates on mechanics and so forth. You know... actual Hunter threads.

I will be browsing these boards more diligently from now on, and I expect to see a heavy amount of mouthbreathing ****** threads. Well? I don't have all day, hop to it kids! We jerks are waiting with bated breath.

GJ on posting a useless topic, and anyways, does anybody even find out answers for themselves? Like, maybe doing "complex" equations late at night is "hard" or "strenuous", but searching for a simple answer such as this? 3rd hit on google, really hard was it?

Priorities on the abilities themselves, skribs already answered that. For builds, I raid with a cat, you could do ravager, your choice.

Dash, Claw/Gore, Avoidance, Reflexes, all maxed out at all times.
Gruul: 7 stam, 6 armour, 5 nat resist for tanking at start.
Mag & BT: 4 stam, 5 fire, 5 shadow
SSC: 4 stam, 5 frost, 5 nat
TK, 4 stam, 5 arcane, 5 fire

I stack STA, then Armor. STA 'mitigates' all damage, while Armor only mitigates physical damage. Resists are for left over points, especially while leveling since it's pointless to try to keep more than a single Pet at your level. once you're 70th you can keep a stable of Pets with different resists, or just retrain your Pet for specific encounters. But mostly I just rely on Mend Pet, and keep the same Pet with me at all times.
