Hi all, I'm thinking of rolling a hunter on a PVP realm, and am torn between an Orc or a Tauren.

Which do you all think would be better for PVP, racial-wise?

Sorry if this topic has be aired before, I normally play Pally and Warrior and am visiting this forum for the first time :)

if you want a boost in AP, and +5% pet dmg, go orc

Tauren for max HP, and the 2 sec stun.

Tbh, both are great.

Wrath + trinket(s) + Orc racial ( +282 AP at 70 for like 15 sec) = pawnage.

However, the stun can save your *** from warriors, at least until they intercept, but the stun can be great on people trying to get in your face.

If I could reroll, I would be a cow, for the 5% Hp, and the stun.

But I really have no beefs( pun !) with the Orc racial.

You are forgetting BE's. I know they dont have anything super but an AOE silence is definately something to talk about. The mana taps themselves are not too much, but when you hit your silence button it gives you enough mana back to allow you to do something. Plus if you time it right you can stop a pally from bubbling, stop any caster from doing something nasty. I use it all the time in PvP and I honestly feel that it is a very useful skill to have. In PvE keep three charges on you at all times so if you do need a little mana boost, fire it off! Just my 2 cents.

If you mean that the silence would keep the pala from bubbling, wrong.

Paladins can bubble anytime EXCEPT for when they are afflicted by Forbearance, Holy spells are on cooldowns and when the bubble is on cooldown.

If you mean that the manatap could make them to go OOM, its a good idea but will wont work superoften.

I'd go with the Orc. Both racials is awesome for PvE and PvP.

Counter-spell or Spell lock will in fact stop them from bubbling. Their Bubble is a holy spell, and any spell that will take out their holy school, will stop them from using it until the spell lock or counter-spell is worn out. I don't know if Silencing shot would work, but both Mages and Warlocks with Felpup can stop a Paladin from bubbling if the Pala tries to use another holy spell before the bubble.

And that's what i said. Counterspelling / Spell locking down a holy spells put all Holy spells on CD. For example, counterspell a paladins Holy Light and he cant bubble for 2-8 seconds depending on what interrupt was used. However, if the pala STARTS with a bubble, that cant be interrupted with counterspell/silencing shot etc.
