Why do people put more than 2 points in imp corruption for pve? With just 2 points in imp corruption your spell ends at about the same time as your GCD ends.
You would have to wait for the GCD to end anyway if you made it an instant cast. I can see how you can get more dps by making it instant but its going to be marginal and you can put those 3 more points in another talent.

only reason I can think of is so that you can't be interrupted during the cast.
It also makes it castable when running. Very useful, especially in PvP.

Ok, then two excellent reasons for pvp and two good reasons for pve.
Saying "Very useful, especially in PvP." implies that it is useful in both, just moreso in PvP. It makes a difference in PvE too. Some bosses, especially in Raids(meaning in regular 5-mans too, since I guess I need to spell that out), require lots of movement. Being able to refresh your DoTs during these times helps.

Tab-Dot running while grinding = Win.
To me having Corruption instant cast is great, as someone else said, there are many times in raids that you have to move about a lot, and being able to still do damage is nice. For instance, I kite the strider when trying to kill Lady Vashj in SSC, and it's great being able to throw out Siphon Life and Corruption while running like mad.
I wish all my DoT's were instant...
