One of the most useful spells for a Paladin healer is the ability to cleanse debuffs from allies. So then does anyone know in what order debuffs get removed? I'm not at home so I can't try this out atm. It matters alot against warlocks because they have unstable affliction which damages and silences the dispeller. Are these effects resolved FIFO or FILO? If a warlock throws down corruption followed by unstable affliction, which will be dispelled first if I cast cleanse.

its a stack so its FILO. In your above example, the UA will be removed first, the corruption removed last.

Thats why I hate affliction warlocks. Dot me up then seal it all off with an Unstable Affliction, so if I cleanse it I blow up and cant take the others off for another few seconds.

Just as I feared. T.T
If you're the healer, do you try to cleanse DoTs and watch for UA or do you just forgo cleansing and heal through warlock DoTs?

Also is there a solution to the warlock DoT/fear/kite/repeat strategy for a Paladin?

My solution for fighting warlocks is best summed up with this flow chart:

Edit: Moved to another thread, should be easy enough to find unless you are looking at this 3 months from now for some reason... if so, good for you for looking through the archives.

I would rate you up a thousand times for this one single post.
I can't remember the last time I laughed that much at work! XD

Im going to make another thread for this, I'd hate for it to go unnoticed buried in someone else's post. Anyone else wanting to talk about it can post in there, and someone else can better answer the OPs question (which I realized I mostly failed at, but I thought of the flowchart and couldn't help myself.)

Oh right, had forgotten to address the original question myself. >_>

I personally try to heal through, or Bubble and cleanse away. They're just impossible to deal with by yourself really. If you have one of the latest versions of Decursive though, it'll play a sound if your target has UA.

However, I thought the Cleanse was random so you actually had a chance to dispel a DoT rather than UA. Never actually tried it cause it's often just too risky, best to just heal through whenever possible.

Sounds like sound advice. I'll stick to healing and not risk the cleansing.

I've heard it's totally random. It may have something about which order the spells landed on your target. Will check this out today and come with an accurate answer rather then guess.

Get decursive if you're playing PVP a lot. It makes an annoying sound and make big warnings on your screen and tells you who have UA on him/her.
