Ok, So I am lvl 53 about to hit 60 haha! And my HP SUCKS!!! I have some old gear but I mainly focus on INT and +dmg because I am lvling this guy with a Hunter buddy. But Should I start looking for gear that is +STA? Or is my hp standard with a "Glass Cannon"? I pvp and pve mainly pve to get to 70 though.

One more quick question, When it comes to raiding i would like to do a pve/pvp build would a pom/pryo work? or do you need to go deeper in the fire tree?

Thank you

here is the link to my toon

Don't worry about hp to much. The only time a mage is going to have alot of hp is pvp and for tanking hkm in gruuls. I think fully buffed for a 25 man, my hp is around 8800.

You could do a 40/21 arc/fire build, but 10/48/3 is the king as far as raid builds go.

I'm certainly not qualified to answer any of your questions regarding endgame since my fire mage is only lvl 61. And I really don't do much PvP yet. But I can assure you that it will get better once you get to Outland. Most of the green quest reward gear you earn will include STA stats. My mage has around 3k unbuffed...mostly from Outland greens. I'm still very squishy, but I really don't notice it as much as I used to. I think a great deal of that is because stuff really doesn't live long enough to touch me.

I wouldn't worry too much about getting STA gear unless you plan on doing BGs before you hit Outlands.

no sweat sta isnt needed to level up to 58-60 and when you get to hellfire youll get alot.
did the quests in hellfire yesterday and replaced all my gear except 2 i think.
when i went thru the portal i had somewhere like 1800hp(lv60) now lv61 and most hellfire quests done i have almost 4000hp 2k more mana and almost twice the spellpower.

outland gear is seriously overpowerd lol

One small comment on your spec (which is almost exactly like mine). AoEing in outlands is much harder (though still possible) and less rewarding than it used to be in the old world. You will level faster with quest grinding bar none. I would suggest respeccing with the advice of "The ultimate mage post" thread. Reason being you almost never get to use AoE in instances and the points spent on improved blizzard could be more usefull elsewhere IMO.
