I just started WoW (not my first online RPG) about 2-3 weeks ago i created a druis who i have gotten to 20 now but i have not used any of my talent points yet. I was considering a combonation of feral and restoration cause i like tanking wheni can but i also like to heal to save the day so I was wondering if it possiable High level to sucessful like that. And if it is how should i start For the record i am on a NON-PVP server and Will probaly only PVP arena stle.

I have looked the sticky and trhough a couple of pages here.

Hello and a big welcome to the worlf of Azeroth ;)

Feral talents are certainly the way to go for quick/easier levelling and many of the talents in there are really great (see sticky of builds for deep info. and examples perhaps?)

Splitting your points between 2 branches while levelling may just mean it takes longer to get the deeper, good stuff in one tree (i.e. Feral ;)) and during the early levels (i.e. up to lvl 50) resto. talents aren't reayyly essential for healing groups - just try and pick up some healing gear (+int/spi and +heal etc) when you can while levelling.

At the latter stages of the game, combining to branches of talents is good and there are many ideas on which is better so depends on how you play, what is fun for you etc. usually a balane/resto combo is more common because many of the talents are useful for both spellcasting & healing while Feral/resto or Feral/balance is perhaps not so useful because in feral forms we rarely are using our spellcasting or healing.. but there are a couple of possibly nice builds combining the different branches.

Happy adventures and good luck with your druid :)

Welcome to WoW, AC. Yours is a very common desire and question, and the standard/correct answer is that A)Full Feral spec is best for fast leveling* thanks to its high DPS and the 30% speed boost of Feral Swiftness, and B)You can very capably heal without the healing-centric talents of the resto tree for a long long time, even into "high level" of the Outlands, if not true "end game" content like Heroic instances and raid dungeons.

Within Feral tree avoid Thick Hide and Nurturing Instinct on the way up, but every other talent in that tree is a solid choice for leveling.

* Feral is inarguably fastest leveling to 40, then with the "Moonkin" talent in the Balance tree, balance becomes a viable "speedy leveling" spec if you want to switch to more of a caster role than melee.
