???

i thought this was kinda funny...

i saw this warrior advertising "dps war LFG heroics", so i asked him his build, AP and crit unbuffed in zerker.... then he tells me "2700+ with procs, 25% crit". so of course i ask again, "ok, but what is your AP unbuffed in zerker, without any procs?", to which he answers a minute or two later, "my gear is a hell of a whole lot better than yours and i could probably do 2x damage of anyone else in a heroic". so then, i look him up in armory, see his gear and build and 1400ish AP, and say "sorry to bust your bubble guy, but i have 1642 AP unbuffed and 27% crit in zerker stance.... in prot spec, in my dps gear" (which i do, and i'll log out in my 2h dps grinding set to prove it). then guy says "L2P and chat nub" and puts me on ignore o.O

but anyway, what is this build all about? i'm guessing the gear, chants and spec lean more towards PvP than PvE... but otherwise it doesn't really make sense to me, looks like he's trying to be a rogue, or increase his PvP survivability...

I'm guessing the guy who uses that build is a *********. Because he wants to be slapped in the face for being such an idiot.

Based on his spec, he is trying to be a rogue (didn't look at his gear). For PvP, you don't want imp DW (since you should use a 2H), with imp DW you don't want imp slam, I dont really see the point in imp cleave (although maybe that's just at my level - 40 - where there's not a whole benefit), he skipped out on TM even though he had points in prot, and he doesn't have 5 points on the second tier of fury?

His build is subpar for DPSing, not optimal for PvP, does not synergy well with itself, and would be abysmal for tanking (he doesn't have imp TC or defiance). Even with 48 points in fury he didn't manage to get the talents that he needed.

To keep the same amount of points in each tree, that's what I'd go with. If I were him. He could still get last stand, only he'll be able to stance dance, and he can pump out more with HS that way.

I see it almost as an attempt at a Fury PvP build. But fails.

Imp cleave, but only 1/2 slam and no imp whirlwind.

He logged in a little tanking gear, but only has 2/5 deflection (every build should have 5/5 deflection and every build should have 5/5 cruelty, at lvl 70).

He could have taken defiance (6 expertise) instead of many many things, and still be a fury OT build just fine.

The spec is just all over the place.

5/43/13

I know it's not ideal; lacking imp tclap and impale. Defiance has turned into something nice to spec for OT specific builds.

He socketed Agi over Str in many sockets... he has the AP chant to hands... 150 HP to chest, has the defense/dodge chant on his DPS helm (that's the part that got me).

The HH helm with 8 Agi, 8 Hit and a 12 sta gem, 16 def rating 17 dodge rating chant...

He only has like 390 str in this gear, and has 1426 AP. Hmm... I wonder where he gets all that AP from. Oh yeah, all the Straight to AP gear he has on.

Another funny thing is that he's an enchanter with 375 enchanting. Any warrior worth their salt knows that 15 str > 26 AP, NO MATTER WHAT.

I don't know but I am aiming for something like this for my warrior that I am leveling. That is if I stay Fury when I get this far lol.

Already have a dedicated healer so I will prolly respec Prot once I get in outlands.

Wow, that is just classic.

The parts that made me laugh:
1. The +8 Agi gems
2. The AP enchants
3. The +15 Agi weapon enchants

The icing on the cake:
The defense/dodge enchant on his Horseman's Helm

If you ask me, the armory is the best thing to ever happen to PUGs, especially now with the low rep requirement. You were lucky to avoid him :)

Froman... you're misstaking. That's not a build. It's a failure.

I actually laughed...then cried. He is the reason why people laugh at DPS warriors in PUGS!
Im lvling my first warrior myself, and even i make better talent choices.
If its modified slightly it would seem like a good PvP build, but as it is it looks... stupid.

I can at least defend his tailoring as I was tailor/enchanter as well.

Tailoring cuts costs of enchanting by a lot. You can make tailoring greens and DE them to get free enchanting mats.
I kept my tailoring untill I leveled enchanting to 300 (pre TBC) and after that I took herbalism to cut pots costs.

You can probably use tailoring to earn cash from DE mats as well....

As for his gear/specc - he is right in one aspect - he really is special :P
