What is the fastest way to get to that magic number of 25% Crit Chance?
What do you mean? Spell crits or melee crits?
You don't need 25 crit until you're near t5 level. 20 holy crit is fine for kara-level (beginning raid) content.

Everyone keeps on saying you need %25 crit for Heroics? I am a Prot Pally so I'm pretty sure I mean melee.
if people say 25 crit for heroics, they're referring to healing. You don't need crit at all as a protection paladin. Most people assume paladins are healers, because most are.
You don't need any crit rating as a prot pally. Taking crit rating just removes from other stats that you need to tank like defense rating and block rating, etc...

Focusing on melee crit as a protection paladin is a very bad idea.
Most of your damage boosts and threat comes from holy (magic) damage. Focusing on melee crit causes you to have to sacrifice the stuff that IS important, like +spell dmg, INT, spell crit, mp5, etc.
If you want to be a tank and have big melee/critical damage, roll a warrior or druid.

hmmm..
I'm gonna go with +spell damage. Reason being that it will add to your holy damage which is used to build and hold aggro in both offense and reflective damage.
Do I win?
(second choice would have been INT. More mana means more seals/consecrates/holy shields, etc)

Yeah you win, int and mp5 is not explicitly sought for because your mana is constantly being regenerated as you get healed when you get hit (which should be a lot being that you're the tank and all.) It's nice to have, but gear choices are rarely based off of it. Spell crit I think can only really apply to JoR or JoV (I think) so it's definately not sought after.

i may be wrong, but the only spec i know of that needs a 25% crit rating is ret. pretty sure that holy only needs 20% holy crit and prot doesn't even worry about it. at least for heroics and kara.

you must have played on my server. i went from pvp server to a pve server and pve is morons. if it wasnt such a pain getting camped by 70's 24/7 i would go back to a pvp server.

I've seen some of your responses...I was half expecting to get absolutely crushed on that build. But I think you let me off pretty easy.
I try not to be mean about my responses... unless I'm extremely cranky and/or you really don't know what you're doing and are attempting to pass off that you do know what you're doing (i.e. inforce about 2 months ago, he's gotten better though so *claps for him*)
And even if I am, I'm usually pretty mild. I generally just point out what I think is wrong with your build and/or gear and if I'm in the mood try to give you better builds and/or gear choices with links if possible.
