Blizzard’s Pet Skin ChoicesFollow

I find Blizzard’s choices for pet skins interesting. For example, I don’t have a snake pet because I don’t care for the graphic. But if Blizzard allowed us to tame shadow serpents I might well take a snake pet for one of my hunters. I like those graphics.

Another example is turtle pets. I like turtles in real life. But I don’t like how they look in game. But if we could have turtle pets that look like the turtle mount I’d head out as soon as possible to tame one.

Anyone else have a pet selection they would go for if Blizzard changed the graphic?

I don't dislike the turtle skins but the only type I ever consider as a pet are the white ones found on Shimmering Flats (among other places). The others just don't specifically appeal to me. I've stayed away from them at higher levels because of how high their backs are. So, maybe some flatter ones would be nice.

I've never really liked worg skins - any of them. They just look so goofy and top-heavy. And their fangs remind me of monster drawings that ten year olds do, trying to make a beast scary or mean by giving them giant teeth that don't fit the mouth and would keep them from ever being able to close their mouths or chew.

Bears... The fat ***, slack-jawed grumpy pants of Azeroth. Nuff said.

Dragonhawks just look like festive Chinese kites to me, rather than an actual animal. Why not just call them Decrepit Stick-Wings?

I like the low profile of crabs. However their skill set is lacking.

I still want a vicious, tameable little bunny rabbit.

"It's only a cute little bunny rabbit!"

could have 'jump' (also applicable to spiders)
bite
growl (sound effect of buzzsaw gnashing teeth)
claw
cuddle (equivalent of succubus seduce- visual is target picking up and snuggling the bunny for X number of seconds, bunny gives the 'ol big watery eyes' routine to start talent.)

Tamers in UO used to be able to do that. I’ve not played that game in many years, but it was funny at the time. A tamer’s pet would, more or less, gain experience. So some people would take things like chickens and slowly build up their power. It was funny to see a chicken take out a hellhound or other scary beastie.

During Children's Week (May 22-29), you could choose Speedy as one of the quest rewards (or a little pig/rat).

I think Calabar is one of the people who collects Non Combat pets...

And euhm, well... i'd tame the Green/Black 2-headed carrion bird if i could =P
Besides that, not much interesting skins i can think of right now.

I'm only annoyed they haven't let us have all the skins available. The Warpstalker and Carrion Birds I've covered in other posts, but there's also a really nice aqua/green Ravager skin I'd like, and some absolutely stunning Dragonhawks.

Oh and making those Eagles in Zul'Aman untameable was just cruel.

How about that jungle armoured Zul'Aman Amani Bear? The only good bear skin and it can't be tamed as a pet. :/

I really wish that the boars up by Ogri'la could be tamed. I never liked the way Boars looked, but I'd happily take one of those because they're pretty :3 Too bad that they're demons.

Give him a switchblade, a drinking problem and a taste for hunting Santa Claus and I'm set.

Do you really think Bun-bun would allow himself to be tamed?

Yes. A gorilla. Any of them. I'm a primate person in real life, but I can't stand watching a gorilla scratch it's bum every 30 seconds.

I remember, before they put Og'rila in, there were red warpstalkers up there. Huge ones. They were level 72 or so, so they couldn't be tamed. Would have been cool if you could have tamed one before they were removed. I can't think of anywhere else you would see them.

Sorry, this isn't really on topic. :)

I’m right there with you. When I was leveling Cashara I was very much looking forward to taming a red gorilla. They are, in my opinion, a very cool looking pet. But when I finally tamed one I ended up releasing it back into the wild within the first hour. I like the chest beating and the butt scratching animations. But I absolutely cannot stand them on a non-stop cycle.

I’ve always wanted a zhevra (zebra) from the Barrens for a pet. I was very disappointed when I found out they couldn’t be tamed even though they are listed as beasts. It’s bad enough that there are some creatures, such as boars, that would make great looking pets but are not classified as beasts, but to put beasts into game that hunters can’t tame is just cruel. Kodos, Pterrordax and Stegodon from the Crater, there are a lot of really cool looking beasties that Blizzard doesn’t allow us to tame.

Talbuks, hellboars, the Un'goro dinos, etc...

But wolves [not worgs] are terrible looking. When running they look fine, but when they're idol, well, there heads are just horrible. Like small sticks coming out from the body. It just could look that way because their chest are so furry. And the position of them, I think they're heads should be higher up. When wolfs run they look cool, much cooler than worgs, but a worgs body seems just more normal too me... more than enough to make up for their awkward running style.

Lets face it, the Ultimate pet would be the Devilsaur.

If and only IF they remained the same size.

How freaking cool would it be to see these walking around? Smiley: lol

Then you could forget about buying a mount and just ride your Devil. >:)
Also the white stags from Azurmyst would look pretty funny running around in the BG.

Ultimate pet would be a dragon, even a mid-size pet model. Some of them have really nasty breath weapons...

Taming most of the elites would be difficult or nearly impossible. Some of the non-elites would be good enough and still make cool pets. Admittedly, it would ***** up some tough dragon bosses so they'd just have to remain untamable...

Check the lore on Dragons in WoW, they are not pets.
Pets consist of animals, where Dragons are a superior race of Norrath.

I think if they also had more coat color choices or something it'd be cool.
Like. a sun bear colored bear, or SOMETHING. It seems like cats and a few others, can't think off the top of my head, get all the cool coat colors.

A skunk would be a cool pet. Skunk > bunny, sorry =D
Haha, my hunter has such an awful name, it's Cuddly (sorry gnome players, but my friends make fun of me and say its a gnome gname).
Can you imagine something like "Flower, Cuddly's Pet" and this adorrrable little skunk attacking you?
