I am also the 41/20/0 cookie cutter build, but probably unlike most people, I have 3 points in thick hide rather than 2 in improved revive pet and one somewhere else. I've just been too lazy to re-spec, I guess. I've had this build since I hit 70, and at the time I was still soloing a lot, so the extra armor served my pet well. Now that I don't really have any quests to do, I know I should switch those points around, but like I said, I'm lazy.

Here it is if you really want to see it. I should switch it to this.

Not the cookie cutter build, but IMO a GREAT solo build. Skips over the low-tier DPS talents in BM for survivability talents (as well as choosing CR over FI), but the points in marks do help. I use this build as I farm cash to help level alts.

Nothing fancy. Normal 0/21/40 Fiveman/Heroic build. Used to have 5/20/36, but decided to add to my CC options so I wasn't completely gimped in PvP. Not to mention Five Mans being helluvalot easier now.

My PvP build that I'm trying out. I've always been BM, ever since I made my hunter a year and a half ago so it's definitely going to take some getting used to. But when I actually remember to use Silencing Shot and Scatter shot it's good stuff! haha

Interesting build that seems to have me pump out tons of damage while helping out the rest of the group too. Click the link in the sig for more details.

My Build

I'm a big fan of MM still, I just don't like having a strong reliance on my pet while in groups as he's probably first to die against anything with an AoE. Clever traps to help with trapping (duh) and MM all the way up to silencing shot to help with pulls and spell interrupts.

As much as everyone hates not having Barrage and Imp. Barrage as an MM build, they're just not things I use too often, as it'll usually break any CC.

EDIT: This is a PvE build, focused mostly on 5-mans, Kara, and the occasional Heroic. Surprisingly enough, it does fairly well in BG's but that may just be luck or something.

And yes, I'm that one hunter who has Imp. Hunter's Mark in the group.

Cookie Cutter 41/20 BM build, but instead of putting 2 points in Rapid Killing I put those two points into efficiency since BM is mana inefficient and Quick Shots procs enough to make-up for the loss of Rapid Fire every 2 minutes, IMO. More mana is never a bad thing.

Why use 5 points in both efficiency and Imp Hunter's mark. It would really benefit you to pick one or the other and put those other 5 points into mortal shots. +30% crit damage isn't something to take too lightly.

Edit: I have the cookie cutter 41/20. Am thinking about switching Imp hunter's mark for Efficiency, since I haven't grouped with many meleers lately and our guild DPS seems to be caster heavy, so I think the IHM is going to waist.

My build (I'm just do PVP and Arena): http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/character-talents.xml?r=Runetotem&n=Warleader

In most AV (like 4/5), I'm the top DPS on the scoreboard (even if I die 1 time) but I must be strickly in offensive.

Any hint to add me some DPS will be welcome ;-)
Btw: I know that I must work on my Cenarion Expedition reputation.

PS: English isn't my 1st language.

Thanks for your time!!!

Currently not 70, but I think I'll be going for something close to that boring 41/20/0 cookiecutter blah.

Right now I'm a 44/8/0 buffed pet build. Planning to drop Imp. Revive and Bestial Swiftness for GftT today, then take out discipline later for focused fire.

And I need a pet with better DPS. My boar is slipping lately. He still holds aggro better than any tank (As all of the tanks I've ever been with will agree), but he went from 45% of total damage down to about 37%. It makes me sad.

Improved Hunter's Mark adds to your pet's DPS. I do miss Efficiency though, but you'll compensate on certain fights by switching to Aspect of the Viper and timing your Mana Potions right. I picked Animal Handler instead of Frenzy because of the +4 chance to hit with my pet. I actually found it a toss up between Improved Mend Pet and Improved Revive Pet, this one might come down to preference and/or area of play. I am on Steady Shot/Auto rotation.

Indeed it's true that BM Hunters rely more on our pets than other builds in terms of providing added DPS, and that in some fights, pets will die from AoE damage. This is alleviated by knowing when and how to properly pull your pet prior to the AoE damage killing it. Usually, if you see your Melee classes pulling away, you should pull your pet out from the fight too. If you know the fight, or if someone in your guild can kindly tell you when to pull, you will be able to save your pet. Most times, you are only going to sit your pet for a bit, and you will be able to send it again. If you keep your pet alive beside you on AoE pulls, remember that you can still use Bestial Wrath.

I am missing a lot of PvE gear due to being new to raiding, and I need a lot of improvement in terms of gear. I've only cleared Karazhan 4 times, 2 of them in the span of 3 nights, and the other half in 2 nights. I have yet to see Legacy drop, and Attumen has not dropped any Hunter gear on my runs so far. I am trying to compensate with adding +hit and Agility gems on my slot, if I can. I am trying to collect the mats for the +28 crit right now.

Good luck to all raiders/PvP players out there, and thank you for the posters who provide accurate and proven information on this site.

I guess you could say my build is a little unconventional. It is 41/0/20. Here's how it breaks down.

BM
Endurance Training 5/5
Thick Hide 3/3; Imp. Revive Pet 2/2
Bestial Swiftness 1/1; Unleashed Fury 5/5
Imp. Mend Pet 2/2; Ferocity 5/5
Intimidation 1/1; Bestial Discipline 2/2
Frenzy 5/5
Bestial Wrath 1/1; Catlike Reflexes 3/3
Serpent's Swiftness 5/5
The Beast Within 1/1

SV
Humanoid Slaying 3/3; Hawk Eye 3/3; Savage Strikes 2/2
Entrapment 3/3; Imp. Wing Clip 3/3
Clever Traps 2/2
Trap Mastery 2/2; Imp. Feign Death 2/2

I am certain many people will find problems with this, but so far I have enjoyed it and my guild is very laid back and doesn't question or criticize it. I have the full benefits of Beast Mastery's powerful pet and some of the benefits of Survival's trap improvements, at the expense of Marksman's improved DPS output. I am certainly open to changing of course and if such became required I would not hesitate upon request of my guild.

This is my build and it's really just a random assortment of talents that i picked while leveing from 10-70. It's really a stupid build, but i'm not going to re-spec yet.
