Casual gamer here who is just about to start raiding kara. Was able to pick up 4 of the 5 pcs of the assassins set this week and should have the last pc by this weekend. I don't have much time to research gems / enchants and can honestly get a little confused by it all. What i'm looking for is what gems should I get along with enchants focusing on Raiding PVE only. Once the set is complete socket wise you have: Meta:1 Red:2 Yellow:3 Blue:1
I am currently Combat spec using swords - I have no problem respecing and already have some epic daggers if I need to go back to a dagger spec. If you need any more info let me know - and thank you MUCH for the info!

If the socket bonus is big, gem according to color, otherwise socket +hit. It will be the biggest dps boost for you point for point.

what if his hit is 309 :o what if he has 500 attack power, what if hes muti and has no added crit,

Just a thought...Casual gamer, just starting to raid Kara, looking for gem advice. What do you think are the chances of his +hit being maxxed?

YEP HIS HIT IS MAX'D FOR SURE
Maxing +hit in kara gear is gonna be a lot harder than it used to pre 2.3 with the hit cap increasing to 363.
so impossible to have 300+ hit if you are running the assassination set.

Kara and all that has been around for so long "casual" should be past this gear honestly. I started playing wow a few months before TBC, and at 31days played today Im in SSC/TK wearing some T5. I consider that pretty casual. :P
ok listen.
Get all of your items that your gonna keep for a long time.
Then decide. or just post us your armory so we can.
I already have plenty of +hit [through items] and ap [through previous gems and stats]
but i notice my crit can take some attention. So i calculate a few items i plan to get and their gem slots.
I now have 2 smooth dawns and 2 jaggeds waiting for my shoulders and boots.
ill have +25% crit.
and thats not even with the enchants.
look at what stats are low for you and get the gems for them.
gems and enchants let you go further and customise your char a bit instead of being dependant on stats from gear. The idea of inscription makes me happy in my pants.
